Think they'll only sack him during the season if we're in genuine danger of relegation, thankfully there's Fulham, West Brom and Sheff Utd in the league so very unlikely
He could easily go in the summer though
Can’t go down the ‘chuck enough sh/t at the wall and something it bound to stick’ route of hiring and firing managers every 18 months as Chelsea, Man U, Spurs etc have done.
We’ve already got a situation where our current manager is failing to implement his ideas using players who can’t carry them out.
Bring in someone new now is only going to exacerbate the situation.
Same results this time next season and we'd be waking up a "Club Statement: Arteta"
1 month left to the transfer window. Instead of entertainig any notion of sacking the manager, they should focus on adding quality and selling those they deem surplus to requirements.
If we haven't showed appreciable improvement come May, Arteta will go.
Remember the difference Fernandes made to Utd this time last year?
π€
Realistically we need 2 midfielders in Jan. Very very unlikely to get 1 but that is what we need.
Willock, a decent young players, nothing more, looked completely out of his depth again in the premier league.
He's not a number 10, deserves to take the place of Xhaka or Ceba.
They're a pretty busted partnership now
Football is becoming very depressing isn't it
Dafuq are you on about now Castor? Willock had a decent game. He's obviously not on the level to turn things completely around for us, but he's better than the dross we currently have.
Willock is like 21 years old. Odd how Arsenal fans think he should start banging in goals and assists and 9/10 performances when everyone else is utter shiete

Just tell me what Arteta is trying to implement that the players cannot carry out?
I would love to understand the style he is implmenting. An attacking scheme. Then you can accuse players for not being able to carry out his demands.
All I saw yesterday was Wolves with a plan to counter attack and doing so mercilessly.
Pep had a defined style, so did Klopp. Even Lampard last season. I just don't see it with Arteta at the moment. Very much like Ole. You could say that 3-4-3 was Arteta's style but that became old very quickly. So now what?
Nah Castor is alright. But it's really odd how a bunch of our fans have gone all out attacking the youth team players. 19-21 years old and barely played a senior game all season, yet they somehow expect them to turn into Mbappe when everyone else is performing like shiete.
We have far far bigger issues than Willock, Nelson and co ffs

Thats it though isn't it. We have a low opinion of Ole cause Man Utd don't have a defined style either. Fenandes came and added a bit of guile but this season they are back to not quite sure what Ole is trying to do.
Ole has had years of managerial experience. Arteta has had less than a years worth. I wouldn't begin to compare the two, tbh.
In fact, what style does Lampard have? He was pretty much left clueless yesterday. A £500m first team at his disposal and he bottled it.
Arteta has gone too far now, with the rubbish football and treatment of players. Deserves the sack.
I still maintain we were playing some decent stuff before lockdown, better than what this squad was capable of. Arteta has got it in him. I don't know if it's stubbornness or cowardice or what.
Think it's lack of confidence and creativity

From what I can see, Chelsea are trying to press high with intensity, similar to Klopp.
Not sure what’s going on with AMN, but unfortunately I now think we should’ve sold him and kept Emi. I understand his versatility made him more valuable to the squad, but we’re not seeing that (last time he started a match where he wasn’t LWB?) and now if he’s not even making the bench, what’s the point him being here?
So I’m also changing my mind about how versatile he actually is. I wanted to see him played centrally, but that seems unlikely to happen now - seriously, if he can’t get in ahead of Xhaka / Ceballos that’s not great. Maybe he’s not putting it in during training now? I mean, he’s not exactly pulling out top performances in the EL is he?
Besides, like most here I wanted Auba played centrally too. And look how that’s played out so far...
There really are reasons we don’t know about that inform managers’ decisions. Have to trust Arteta on this one. It’s not like he’s the only manager Ainsley has played under anyway.

So you blame yesterday's performance and the one against Villa and Leeds on a player not selected?
Some of the decisions made, by the club, are very odd. The shunning of players, the inability to sell the deadwood, the inability to close out certain signings, the off-field PR disasters.
How many of us would take Torriera back right now? I would. Look at the state of that midfield. I honestly don't understand what managers see in Xhaka, but fair play he's got a decent living from it. But it's very apparent (from years back actually) that he's not fit for the rigours of the PL. It's far too quick for him. Teams have long since figured him out.
Our bets option is actually Elneny. Someone who had such a stinker we would have been happy had he agreed to have his contract terminated. And now he's our best CM option. The state of it.

How many times do we see a player on the ball with no options?
Surely that should be worked out on the training pitch?
Why is there so little movement off the ball?

Yes. Yes I really do.
Even though I didn’t say that.
Or therefore mean it.
Ainsley played the tucked in midfield role of a RB brilliantly. There's his versatility.
But as soon as bellerin came back it was too easy for arteta to drop him. He didn't deserve that. If I'd have known this was how arteta planned to treat him, I'd have have wanted us to sell him ahead of Emi.
The front 3/4 interplay is actually a disaster. It's literally as if there is no training done at all between that group of players.
