They are not a sure thing though. I wouldn't expect to see much of Odegaard in the league or Europa. Which is why Arteta not trying Maitland Niles in central midfield seems so odd. Give him 10 games and make a judgement. I doubt Arteta will make much of an effort for the FA Cup.

Don't get me wrong, I banged the AMN 4 CM drum as loudly as a lot of people here did, but I just don't see it happening now. And there must be a reason for that. It's not as if this is a decision of one manager alone.
Weirdiest thing about it is he's looked pretty good there the few times he's actually played there. But we have to assume there's something we're not seeing that his managers have.

I didn't though. Most of my predictions are more accurate than not. Which is why Pete still goes on abt Tom Ince whe I wanted him to be used as squad filler to temporarily replace Theo when he did his ligaments.

Also, is it not a concern that the goalkeepers we're going for are only 6 feet tall? Raya and Ryan are both 6 foot on the dot. Wouldn't it be better to go for a goalkeeper who is taller and with better reach?

There is a vail of secrecy at the club now. The only time we find out abt targets is after approaches have been made. So I doubt anyone knows if we have moved on from him. But it doesn't stop ppl speculating abt it because ppl just don't know the name of any other of our targets.

Re. Mat Ryan. I think everyone, players included, will generally feel a lot more relaxed seeing him on the bench than Runar.
RR might be a great guy for all we know, but the idea that Leno having to be subbed for whatever reason and knowing he'll be coming on mustn't be great for our defenders to have in the back of their minds.
