Please explain to me how getting rid of Mkhitaryan, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Ozil, Sokratis, Guendouzi and Torreira in the last 6 months is not a step forward?

I also want to point out most of these players were signed on contracts and big wages from the previous regime, so we can't blame Edu for not being able to sell them when it's precisely the reason mentioned above that we can't.
He's clearing house, looking to make space for a new culture and new players, and I am supportive of it.
Yes I would prefer for us to get fees for our players, but most of them are on money that is too high for most other clubs that would be interested in them, especially with the impact of the pandemic.

Runarsson was low risk. There is NO FACKING WAY he's on the money people have suggested here.
Willian seemed a mistake at the time, but it's actually turned out way worse than that. We will have to take a hit on that one for sure. Same with Pepe (thanks, Don Caaantchops).
But I'm liking this new found ruthlessness at Arsenal.

Xhaka was signed beforehand.
Pepe was one of the most sought after players in Europe. No-one was upset with the signing. Easy to say this with hindsight.
Willian and Runarsson are the only two major facks ups, in terms of incomings, we've made so far. That's also offset by the fact we signed Gabriel, Partey, Odegaard on loan and was able to retain Auba, who we were ALL worried would leave us.
