Nah you're reading too much into it J99. Arteta is staying. Definitely for next season.

posted on 12/5/21

Yeah they'll give Arteta another season, especially if we get Europa. Can't wait to sign Thiago Silva and Giroud.

Then why keep on saying 'while I am here'. I think he knows his time is up. Maybe its my wishful thinking. But you need to see the press conference if you haven't already seen it.

I doubt he knows what Kroenke intends to do in the summer.

It will be incredulous that we keep the man who has presided over our worst season for 25 years when the likes of GG, SH and Rioch were fired.

That press conference is basically Arteta rewatching his previous press conference and giving himself a big because what you absolutely don't do is shift the blame on players. It smacks of desperation, and Arteta knows it. He knew he'll be hounded by more questions so addressed it straight away.

Oh, I don’t know. Maybe because he’s Spanish, and sometimes comments come out not intended, leading to them being misinterpreted?

Hardly reaching, is it.

He was very prescient when he said.

Like I said I might be reaching or it maybe it just my wishful thinking.

Just watch it. I am sure it will be on twitter soon enough. As Serial said, it was a retreat on par with Dunkirk. Never seen anything like it.

Over time Dunkirk has become viewed a heroic feat.

In the future Hollywood will make movies about tonight.

posted on 12/5/21

Cause Dunkirk was managed against all odds. Has Arteta achieved that? Walked back that he thinks some of his players don't give a 100%?

Did you see Auba giving him the evil eye?

C’mon, dude. I mean, thanks for the link, but what am I supposed to be seeing here? He just sounded angry with the press, and defended his players’ reputations.

No league win away to a ‘big four’ rival since 2015.

Now twice in the same season?!!

No wonder the Goobers were all so elated last night...

Arsenal completed their first Premier League double over Chelsea since the 2003-04 season, while this was their first league win at Stamford Bridge since October 2011, ending an eight-game winless run there (D2 L6).

Arsenal have won three consecutive away Premier League matches without conceding for the first time since May 2013 under Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal have had a different player aged younger than 21 score in each of their last three Premier League matches against Chelsea - Gabriel Martinelli in January 2020, Bukayo Saka in December 2020 and Emile Smith Rowe tonight.

One for Pete:

Billy Gilmour has started each of Chelsea's last three Premier League games - the 19-year-old is the first Scottish teenager to start three consecutive top-flight matches since Grant Hanley for Blackburn Rovers, in a run ending on New Year's Day 2011.

One for Geets:

Chelsea have conceded 26 goals in 19 Premier League games when Antonio Rudiger hasn't started this season, compared to just seven conceded in the 17 games when the German has started.

Come one Lex. Thats being disingenuous.

How many games do you think we will win if we repeat how we played last night? Just think back to the start of season when we were headed for relegation with this style.
