Don't want to press the reply button again. I admit I haven't an adequate answer to your question.

In contrast, you havent really response to my question.

I try again. Do you really think Arteta said to them to sat back after we scored yesterday? Do you think, with a better tactic, the Palace goals could be avoided?

Again, I don't want to go on like this. We are talking of a big club that is Arsenal. If we don't get the results, Arteta is history very soon. I don't believe another manager could fix our problems in a short time, as we haven't got time any more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, I think that was part of Arteta's plan, to sit deep as soon as we scored. Probably to avoid getting hit on the counter soon after we scored. That isn't much of an issue, if you then have a phase where you're on the front foot again, and that's where we failed.

Pretty much soon after we scored, we sat back and Palace began to implement their game plan, perfectly. Our two "mistakes" were really palace's high press tactic coming to fruition.

The question I ask myself is why were both midfielders dawdling on the ball? Why does Xhaka do it, and every other midfielder we have? Are they all shiete? Or do they have no option, because every other player is too stationary.

The question I can't answer is why Arteta chooses to play this way, having seen no improvement in the side for almost 2 years. Others with more knowledge would know, or speculate, but I really have no idea why he doesn't do anything about it.

His interview after the game suggest otherwise.

GT, Arteta talks the talk very well. It's why I said that post match interview he pretty much summed up what didn't go right.

So the next logical question is, if he knows what's wrong, why isn't he sorting it out?

Or, if he is doing something about the issues, why are the players ignoring his instructions, for every single game (30 mins Spurs game aside).

This isn't a blame game. But some cog in the machinery is going very wrong. It's either the players are just awful and they don't/can't understand Arteta's instructions or Arteta isn't getting his message through, if he has one

TBH, it's all really circular and boring talking about it. I'd rather just shrug my shoulders and not give a fack.

amazed when people on here say they are nervous for games. I couldnt give a fak anymore. cheers Robert Mugarteta

Last time I was genuinely nervous before a game was EL final. Then Giroud facked us over like he facked that prozzer before the city game, and it was all over for me.

Complete emotion was drained when Arteta was appointed. I always felt a nobody player appointed because he worked under great managers was never going to work.

would our fate have changed significantly had Emery won the EL? Or were we always destined to become mid table fodder no matter what? #philosophy
