Some of our players were on their last legs and especially the youngsters were disappointing against Newcastle.

We just couldn't get the ball to the front 4 enough. Elneny had 2 or 3 line breaking passes but that's it

They were awful upfront and couldnt hold on to the ball for a second. Yes, Odegaard, Elneny and Xhaka surely werent helpful.
I think the issue with that interview is you had one of, if not the worst performer on the day (and for much of his career) criticising the bottle of others. Guys who care as much as him no doubt basically getting told they bottled it.
Not such an issue if you've scored a hattrick and lost 4-3 because your team mates were defending like clowns.
But anyway it was emotional and unfortunate, unhelpful but kind of understandable. Don't think his comments should be defended but the circumstances mean it's ok to forgive them

I think the size of the offer probably is. But it does suggest we are negotiating. Fiorentina leaked our negotiations with Vlahovic to encourage other bidders. I suppose Napoli want Madrid to join in the auction.
Read that Napoli is tempted to sell Osi by 110M
I believe our main targets before the Newcastle meltdown were Jesus and Osimhen.
I think our main target is Jesus only. If the rumours are right City want 50-60 M for him. He has 1 year left on this contract. I wouldnt do it.
Osi surely was on our list but this deal is much more complicated.

Bizarre that we extended his contract when we did. If (likely when) we don't qualify for CL, at best Arteta should've been given a couple of months next season to show whether he can manage the side while also in the Europa.
Haven't seen anywhere near enough to suggest he's the man to properly help the side move forward

Why? His task was to get Europa. Anything more was seen as a bonus. He is hitting all his targets - reducing wage bill, building a young squad, cutting the troublemakers, getting Europe.
