The difficult results to take were Newcastle away, Villa away and West Ham home, 3 losses in games we really should have got more from on the balance of play and chances created. Dropping points at home to 10 man Fulham was the worst result of the season.

Home loss to Villa, there isn’t much to get upset with the team over. We couldn’t expect that unbeaten run to last forever and we didn’t put in a ‘stinker’, Villa were just miles better than us on the day. Emery has Arteta’s number tactically every time they’ve faced off against each other. A ‘stinker’ would be our performances away to Fulham and Bayern.

We could win 16 of the last 18 games and still not win the league which is pretty ridiculous. It’s not like we were miles behind the leaders before this run started. The standards are ridiculously high.

We lost Newcastle away because of a ridiculous ref. decision, That decision could be costly in the end.
