Nicolas Jackson is the most ridiculed forward in the country (partly deserved for being the most wasteful player I've seen in some time), but his 13 goals and 5 assists isn't a terrible return. He's an asset to the team for his ability to be a nuisance with his runs - a reason he gets into so many great positions that he ends up wasting. For what tehy signed him for, I'd say he's still been a good signing and far from the biggest of Chelsea's worries.

Arsenal earned about £80m for getting to the CL quarter finals. Suggesting there isn't a financial reason to qualify for CL instead of Europa is a joke, surely?

No, most teams would rather have Ropey league than not (many fans of big clubs though would rather play not Europe than Ropey league). I'm saying that not making Ropey league would not affect their transfer priorities, which is what you were suggesting. There is not a single target that Spurs would miss out on because they don't have Ropey league money.

We have the tendency of harbouring too many Championship level deadwood at the club. I'd bet you players like Nketiah and Nelson would warm the bench at relegation scrapping clubs.

Stats indicate that Brighton absolutely wiped the floor with Villa today (15-2 in attempts). I'm still mystified by how they beat us. And did so emphatically, dominating us in the 2nd half after we failed to take good chances in the 1st. I watched their 4-0 mauling at Villa Park by Spurs and honestly didn't think they'd lay a glove on us.

Of course it matters. Because revenue is not the same as profit/losses and thats what PSR is judged on. And I take your point because Levy is not one to spend a lot. We have had the exact same issues in the recent past of not being able to attract players because we couldn't even qualify for Europes middle competition.
