If we're making marquee signings, I'd prefer with look at PL-proven players like Eze, Mbeumo, Cunha etc. We can sign from abroad if we're looking at cheaper prospects. Rodrygo is a potential expensive flop, imo.

I would too but as I have said before I don't think we need to sell players per se (within reason). Its all up to them if they want to leave. Arteta doesn't like huge squads either. There really is no point keeping players, with their values reducing if they don't play. I expect Berta to be far more astute than Edu.

- Liverpool is a better city to live in than Madrid
- TAA should've resigned and that selling him to Madrid for £60-70M wasn't enough.

They will nearly cost the same and don't have the ceiling Rodrygo does. Better to pay 10% more and buy a potential world-class player. Risk worth taking.

Liverpool will have to have quite a big summer I think, VVD is already making quite a few mistakes, Konate could be off, Trents gone and Robertson isn't as good as he was. Salah could drop off at any point.

All that and I think they'll have to be quite a bit better than they were this season to be competitive for the league again.

There are very few of that level. Thats why I specifically went for Bayern rather than catch all for Brazilians - Saudi Arabia.

I think the general consensus among the footballing elite is Slot is a one season wonder. Probably sacked by Valentines Day.

Wenger managed a good transition from Bould, Adams, Winterburn and Dixon. Will be fascinating to see if Slot can manage it.
