But surely extending would make him more valuable, not just paying him more?

Unless he had a clause in his contract. Reminds me of Suarez but in that case he got a one year extenstion and sold him the the following season. Makes no sense because his contract only had one season.

Ah being reported he had 2 seasons to run and not one.

---------------------------------------------------------------------. Guessing Utd offered a lot more money? You have to make the bank whilst you can and in all fairness they will probably get more play time as well, now that they’ll struggle to get in good players.

I'm down with keeping Trossard. More strength in depth. I'm sure we'll still sign a striker and another wide forward.

I agree with CEG, I think they will be sold

Nwaneri another option to of course but I think he'll be used more in midfield next season.

Keeping Martinelli and Trossard suggests the club could finally be looking for another option wide right?

Obviously, no one is replacing Saka as first choice. However, perhaps Saka’s role could be adapted slightly next season? Bringing him into L/R8 would make us less predictable, if nothing else.

I only counted Jesus as there's no way we'll be able to sell him whilst he's injured so it's extremely likely he'll be in the 25 man squad. I don't know how much football he'll play next season though.

You'd expect with his injury record he's not going to be match fit until 2026 but I've not heard how severe his ACL injury was
