Will Sweet signed a professional contract, he's my next favourite, his passes are amazing. What do you think of him?

Yeah, but he's really young though
I think he's right footed while sweet is left?
Either way let's hope they can be used so we can get some money from them.

Madueke going to be on 50k pw?

posted on 12/7/25

Would not be shocked for a backup. It is also what Chelsea do - Low wages in exchange for a long contract. Nelson/Trossard on double that - reflects poorly on Edu.

I have a feeling someone at Arsenal leaked it after the fallout.

But that doesn't mean he will earn £50K Pw at arsenal, it says that's what he earns now

posted on 12/7/25

I suspect it will be c£70k/week at Arsenal and Madueke probably jumped at that despite knowing he won't be starting.

posted on 12/7/25

I think he jumped at the chance to leave chelsea if he's getting paid that low

🚨 || Viktor #Gyökeres🇸🇪 hasn’t arrived for training again, #SportingCP🇵🇹 may now fine him. If this continues it may lead to more serious penalties, including termination without compensation. This is exactly what Gyökeres wants but would be a disaster for SCP [Via - @ABolaPT

Berta is definitely trying to drive down wage costs of the squad. At most clubs, there is a marked difference between backups and starters. Then there is another jump between 'world-level' starters and others. I have a horrible feeling that Edu continued the Wenger belief in wage meritocracy.

This is why I believe we never came to agreements with Partey and Trossard who both wanted starter wages even after Arteta public comments that he wanted them to stay!

This is a great point. Lasana Diarra did just that.

Diarra did that with who?

Ah yes, I vaguely remember

This is a contract dispute between Gyokeres and Sporting because of the 'verbal agreement'. Just like Suarez and with Liverpool. Liverpool knew they were on shaky ground and gave a lot of money to Suarez to shut down the dispute before it was tested in court.

Sporting should agree to the fee Arsenal are promising, or they could end up with nothing if they are forced to swear under oath they did not promise Gyokeres he could move if Sporting received a bid of €60m or more.

The issue isn't so much the €5M, it's the payment structure too, they want it all upfront
