I guess that's the issue, LW options are so limited. If we were to bring in someone like Rodrygo (unlikely I know) who will command a lot of first team football, then it might make sense to sell both Trossard and Martinelli and look to do a Brighton/Bournemouth type signing to be back up

The thing is these days Brighton/Bournemouth players will probably cost more than Rodrygo who was last valued at €60m - £50m.

The thing with Rodrygo is he never clearly said he wants to leave RM.

He didn't play in the club world championship. They want him out.

Personally I would prefer Lookman to be Eze's backup, whose move to Inter has stalled.

But I bet it will be Madueke and they will keep Martinelli.

It is not a big jump to assume that a player who is not starting will want out if another club wants him. His wage demands are probably the thing that will stop any move to Arsenal.

Nothing to do with left wing. It's how we set up.

Inverting left back, Rice playing as a left winger, Odegaard on the right. Slow build up, get the ball to the widemen and then spam in the crosses to a hopefully havertz.

Unless Arteta changes the way we play, bringing in players will make no difference

Arteta needs to demand more directness of the players. Release the ball earlier and try to get behind defenses. More pace in the built up needed.

Well the idea would be to cut out the middle man and take a punt on someone before they make the Brighton level move

Often we have smashed teams in pre season but in real season get smashed ourselves. It’s all about getting the players to play in the system Arteta wants them to play in and get fitness up.

Not an arteta outer (yet), but he's making the same complaint year after year. Then he signs madueke

As long as we take at least 14 points in our first 6 league games that's all that matters. Obviously ideally anything more would be a bonus but I'd take a point at Anfield and St James Park now whilst winning the other 4 games and then getting momentum and going on a mad winning run.
