According to CBS Sports sources, Al-Nassr have held internal discussions over the forward but the Saudi Arabian club have not put together a proposal for Arsenal's consideration and are not currently preparing a bid.

Yamal was trusted with the first team at 15. Dowman can follow that path too. Nwaneri is a year more experienced.

posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago

Yamal will be a broken man in a couple of years for sure. Barca do that to all their youngsters these days, desperate for another Messi.

Keep in mind, Liga is less intense and players don't tend to try to break legs for media adulation.

You're a bit all over the place here. Random rumours about clubs having an interest in Martinelli is not what is under dispute, but the specific bid from Al Nassr that you're referenced in which you're questioning why Arsenal aren't taking the money. My point was always that if such a bid had ever truly come in, Martinelli would have been sold in seconds. There's no evidence of some kind of sentimentality in keeping Martinelli. He's definitely a player we'd let go if a solid bid came in.

Arsenal are initially expected to look at loans and bargains to cover Havertz injury if they receive bad news on his injury.

Thats not how it works.

Clubs in Saudi League have to request financing for a proposed move. So Al-Nassr requested an amount that they were able to spend on a wide player. They had a shortlist that includes the likes of Diaz and Martinelli. As I mentioned Athletic and others btw (pointed out above) took this to mean that they have offered a deal. However that requires Arsenal to give them encouragement that Martinelli is available for transfer. Thats when the talks begin for Al-Nassr to then officially bid. Arsenal said that Martinelli is not for sale. As CBS and others have pointed out so the story died at that point.

Arsenal have to make Martinelli available for transfer before teams can approach with a fee that they believe he is worth. Arsenal have never done that!

Lol.....all this ridiculous back-and-forth just to avoid admitting your initial claim was unfounded BS. Your first post that I responded to, you claimed "Frankly, we need to move on from Martinelli now while he is worth something. Al-Nassr offered €85m".

There is no evidence anyone has offered us anything. It's completely unfounded, unsubstantiated BS. Just admit that and move on. All the "Athletic deleted it", "Al Nassr have to request funds.....blah...blah...blah" is yet more BS to cover the initial BS. There is no evidence "Al-Nassr offered €85m" that we should accept. Simples.
