"Not sure. Lewandowski is going to Bayern, and that will be hard for Klopp to take."

Through no fault of the club. They have taken a very strong stance which we failed to take with RVP, had BVB sold Lewandowski to Bayern then maybe he would have called it a day.

Look at how BVB have replaced Goetze, they are arguably a stronger team without him and they have already prepared for Lewandowski's departure with the signing of Aubyemang. As I said, they are in a far better position currently, and in the future, to compete for honours and I see no reason why he would leave them for us.

IF he would then yea go and get him but I really don't think it's a possibility. Laudrup however, would certainly join us if we asked him to.

im starting to think the Unbeaten run was down to the players just being that feking good.
==========================================

They were only that good because Wenger found them from no where, and put them in the same team.

But tactically, it was fairly basic wasn't it?

It's all well and good laughing at Laudrup and saying you want Klopp, but just remember one thing...

We're about to sign Cabaye and possibly Williams.

We don't operate on the same level as Dortmund at the moment. What makes you think Klopp would leave them for us?

In my view Wenger had a very good tactical approach at the WHL where we lost the game in two minutes. That was an approach in the first half where I thought we had a game plan.

And we discovered, by luck, Kos and Mert worked quite well.

It was more than that.

THIS

Can you imagine a team with Sol, Cole, Vieira, Gilberto, Pires, Ljungberg, DB10 and Henry today

We're only signing that dross because Wenger is too scared to spend big money.

We could of signed far higher had he had the ambition for it

Does that mean you agree with me Chris?

Klopp has said 5000 times he is not leaving until 2016 so stop facking talking about him

About our run at the end of last season GT?

Yes I agree, we had quite an easy run, a bit of luck, and were quite solid defensively.

Exactly Dave. That is what he did. He said and I quote him "I have a mission here and I will do all to reach the best I can".

"How can someone who's seen us go a whole season without defeat and get to a champions league final with senderos at the back call him the worst in the league?"

Wenger has never been a great tactician.

What he WAS great at is identifying and developing gems. I always said that the Invincibles underachieved. We never beat Man United during out unbeaten run, they beat us in the FA Cup by parking the bus and attacking on the break. That Italian guy who managed Chelsea (forgot his name) owned Wenger at Highbury in the CL. The fact we did not win the treble that season was a travesty, we had by far and away the best XI in Europe.

If you take out our CL run to Paris when Keown was defensive coach, can you look back at any specific CL campaign and say "wow, can't believe how well we did"? Against the top European managers, Wenger has always been tactically outwitted. Even in his prime when we were dominating the PL.

I think you can feel that we all are frustrated as hell. Good discussion btw.

If I listed my all-time Arsenal XI at least five or six would be from that classic Wenger side.

Now I've been supporting Arsenal a long fecking time, so that just shows you how good that team was.

We were really lucky Arsene found them all and brough them together. For that I will always thank him.

But really, that was such a special team a lot of what they achieved was simply because they were so much better than almost everyone else.

If Arsene could have only been a bit more canny with his tactics, we'd have definitely won more titles with that group of players.

Possibly a CL or two among them.

End of July I was frustrated? Now? I'm just gutted and disappointed in the club.

Already got my ticket for the NLD, but after that will send them my membership card back.

The fixture congestion cost us the FA cup and Champions league. Also Wenger owned him 3 times that season. Owned the likes of Capello so that disapproves your deluded theories

So Arsene is crap?

we werent tactically owned at all by Ranieri... the players facking bottled that one

And you all forget how the game was changed by Abramovich

No one forgot CEG. RA changed the game. We failed to adapt.

Not at all. We have just realised that Wenger forgot to change when the game did.
