He tried too many time to do the one-two passes but missed half of them. It would be interested to see his pass accuracy.

Not moaning Lex but honestly, with a good striker, the game would have been over after 20 minutes.

Thats what football is abt Lex. Thats why it fits the English psyche so well. Go and watch morris dancing if you don't like it.

We would be seriously untouchable in this league. Bayern like in Bundesliga. Our back to front play was exceptional at the end of last season. Just need a worldy striker to put them away consistently. Oh for a Henry.

Yeah. But I dunno how much of that is a mindset that we have got into. I saw Theo make 3 or 4 runs yesterday only to find a midfielder pass it square again. Wilshere was the only one looking to add a bit of direction to our play after he came on.

This is where we still miss Cesc. Barca are very direct and opposing managers often confuse their version of tiki taka to passing square when it really isn't. Every attack has to have an outcome. I lost count of the number of times that we kept on shifting the point of attack or reversing play only for Rosicky or Saint Nic to give it away without a shot on goal.

We're spending it in Germany with the missus' folks, meaning mulled wine at the Weihnachtsmarkt, gift giving on Christmas Eve, plenty of booze Christmas Day and board games in the evening.
