And if they break a leg and get the temple shot, we can have a nice big pie

Can't you bet £1000 and guarantee more profit?

"Bet £10 on Cinders and Ashes to win @ 10/1 returns £100
Bet £10 on Binocular to win @ 10/1 returns £110"

If the top one is a mistake as it seems, does that mean you are guaranteed profit? Not even a chance of the same money back?

No Obers because as i said at the top the maximum refund is £100

And yeh meant to put returns £110 for cinders and ashes, and no if Hurricane Fly wins you get your £100 total back

There's 8 horses in the race, if Hurricane Fly the favourite wins you get your money back that you staked ( £100 ), if any of the other 7 horses wins you make a profit, as shown above

Oscar - There is no doubt that there is a profit to be made, basically a max of £35 on a £100 stake. That might appeal to some punters, but for many, there will be a 'couldn't be bothered to do all that' attitude, whilst of course to others, they simply won't have that much to bet with.

What you have highlighted, is that in a small field, if you fancy a couple of horses, then you could back say Zarkandar for £20, £12 on Binocular and of course money back if Hurricane wins. Of course you could still lose your money if one of the other 5 win, but some would find the chance of 2 against the field for a bigger profit and a Hurricane win for money back as a more appealing bet (as us punters tend to be a bit more greedy!!) rather than the smaller profit.

But good of you to highlight this, and just confirms that Paddy Power tend to be the bookies that do better offers than the 'big 3'. Best odds guaranteed is another, the other big 3 tend to go as far as offering an extra place in certain races, which is hardly stretching the imagination.

I might go 2 against the field with the safety net of Hurricane. Rock on Ruby and Countrywide Flame for me.

Good luck mate, Cinders + Ashes and Zarkander for me with a little bet on Binocular

Ha ha Hurricane Fly won..

When Oscar check his account for refunded money then obviously Paddy Power refunded him only 27 pounds. Because, one bet per customer , otherwise he visited 7 different shops.

Decent result for me. Money back on Rock on Ruby and Countrywide Flame, and I had tote place bets on them both, so overall, more than doubled my money.

Nice one mate, awful run from Cinders + Ashes!! Dont get whats happened to that horse

Paddy Power are generous. Hence they refunded all of your losing bets. If it's any other then probably they wouldn't be refunding all the losing bets.

Oscar - sometimes novices don't quite fulfill their potential, or don't have great 2nd seasons. Might also be a sign to avoid McCain and Maguire - maybe it ain't their year. I remember when Alan King and Choc Thornton had a few winners at Chetenham for a season or two and then not too great after that.

McCain is a cannt.. he should retire. Most of his odds on novice horses are turned over in the last few weeks.

True kinsang, i always avoid AP at Cheltenham as well, he just never seems to do well, gets the odd winner but nothing more
