It's called rotation. I believe you wrote about it a few weeks ago?

step out of the 1960s
rotation is necessary - the players looked facked today.
fergie sets the benchmark and rotates his side weekly.
mancini does the same for large parts especially strikers and they won the league.
you only made 3 changes from the Liverpool game and rotated for Europe, seems normal.
The boys looked exhausted today, and that was with the rotation of players. Imagine how poor we would have been if we played the same 11 week-in week-out. Our injury list would be horrendous and AVB's head will be called for for not rotating the squad.
Don't understand the point of rotation, do you, Sandy?
Whatever it is called, it aint facking working.
Spurs won the league by using just 15 players in 50 games. AVB has used 5 players more in 47 less games.

you still believe he was around in the 60's?
Sandy, please don't compare the league in the 60's with the PL league of 2013...
Could you let us have the same stats for Man U during the recent week when they played Real Madrid?
I am not having exhaustion as an excuse. The modern players are young men, who are supposed to be as fit as any players in football history. If they cannot play more than one game a week, they should take up draughts.
That's not unusual at all. We've used exactly 20 in the same time span. I don't believe that's the problem. If anything, some of your players look exhausted and need the rest.
Can't see this article reflecting well on you Sandy
Messi seems to be able to play practically every minute of every game of a 60 game season, so I don`t buy into this exhaustion craaaaaaaaaap. They re just lazy bastarddddddds, who get paid shed loads of money, and the slightest excuse they don`t want to roll up their sleeves. It does not matter what era. You either want to play or you don`t. And a lot of modern players only want the money.
The squad flew to Anfield on Sunday and lost in a very physical game. After training Monday and Tuesday they flew to Italy, trained and then played 120 minutes of exhausting football, they returned Friday and trained Saturday before our game today.
I'm guessing that's why he rotated tje squad.

The modern game operates at a much higher intensity. Incomparable eras.
Jesus Christ sandy, this isn't 1973.
Rotation of the squad is needed to an extent. Do you honestly think we'd win most games if out players weren't fresh against opponents who were? Do we look like Barcelona to you? A team who dominate possession and littered with world class players?

Today's performance was very similar to the one against Wigan much earlier in the season...
I doubt fatigue was a reason then...
The fact is this current squad is one dimensional and if we lose either Bale or Lennon, we are almost useless attack wise.
I agree with Sandy that the back 4 should remain pretty constant

Don't understand the point of rotation, do you, Sandy?
It is not a matter of understanding it, 20 players used. 3 successive losses. It is really working well.
12 unbeaten games, minimal changes, worked very well.
I'd be very interested to see how many players AVB used either side of our loss at Leeds....
Messi is a phenomenon and not to be used in this discussion.
He not only plays a lot, he gets hacked down all the time and draws more FKs than any other player.
Doovdé - Deal with it!

Oh, you are touching my heartstrings now with the poor didums having to travel first class, stay in a first class hotel, train for a hour, play a whole 90 minutes of football, and then come back for a well earned rest.
Do me a favour, footballers do not know what it is to live in the real world of hard graft.
Barca keep 70% possession every game and 25% of the 30% opponents possession is usually time spent contemplating where to hoof the ball back to Barca
Hardly comparable
