12-12-18 will solve it
... That's why we keep churning out shïte continually. And will continue to do so until we have a format that's best for the game and not for the short term financial prospects of short sighted chairmen in the SPL
16-18 team top division
I. Going to bed, Severely disillusioned. I hope this is the kick up the backside we need. What's wotte got to say about tonight!
To be fair, we just got a 1-1 draw in Italy today
For the u15s
Said it when he was appointed mate. Strachan is a joke and just another mistake of the same mould. Got shouted down by posters on here who described him as "a winner"

I got the same, A.K.
Top division has to be at least 16 teams. 12 teams means too much focus on winning and not giving youth a chance.
No point bringing in the rules like 3 under 23 players in matchday squads etc if they're going to sit on the bench every week
The majority of players are talentless sluggers and the majority of managers are neanderthals tactically
I couldn't understand the clamour for Strachan.
I still don't.
I remember that Bluenose. I was pointing to his record at Boro where he left them in their lowest league position for over 20 years. This was his last job and he hadn't worked since. "He'll get them going" What a load of utter pash
But he sways sounds like he knows what he's talking about on ITV
I think Strachan's a decent manager, nothing special but a stable appointment. But that doesn't make a difference if the players can't pass a ball to each other or score from five yards out

Yeah getting it from all angles so I was.
It's true though what I was saying then. I said it would have been more of the same under Strachan as it was under Levein.
Kayal, His selections and tactics are a depressing insight into what's coming. I do not want him, never did.
Burley tried to play quick, expansive, attacking football with us, the players we have can't do it.
"Burley tried to play quick, expansive, attacking football with us, the players we have can't do it."
I think they can.
Players like Dorrans, Mackay Steven, Johnny Russell, would all thrive in a pass and move game.
Kayal
The players we keep playing can't do it. Give others a try
4-5-1 at home. No Griffiths in the squad. Kenny Miller as first replacement for Flettcher This stuff truly depresses me.
Spot on Bluenose. There are young players coming through, give them a fecking chance for crying out loud. Stop picking the same dross and failing time and again. It beggars belief

If they were blooding in youngsters, then I would be supporting the team, its just they don't, and it's just tiresome to watch.
I'd honestly look towards bleeding in the likes of Russell, Mackay Steven, Forrest, etc for 2016 qualifying. By that time hopefully we'll be back in the top flight, so Macleod, McKay and Crawford will be challenging, as well as Telfer and Ramsey. Last two, are still real young, chances are they won't be seen till 2018 quali at the very least.
You want to know the difference between us and a lot of other teams.
They take youth football seriously. They use the u17, u19 and u21 teams (and u23 for the Olympics) as stepping stones for the big team.
We just pick teams and send them out with no thought whatsoever for the long term development of the national team. There's no cohesion, there's no foresight, there's no preparation of young players to get them ready for full international football. We just have a look at who's available and put them in the team. And then we hope for the best.
The saddest thing in the history of Scottish football was the fact in 1989 we had a team who reached the final of the World Youth Cup. That should have been a team that developed and was prepared for the leap up the age groups until full international level. Instead we had a measly three players who made it to the A team - Brian O'Neill, Paul Dickov and Andy McLaren.
The rest barely made an impact on the professional game.
Shocking.
Strachan needs to hunt ,in no particular order Caldwell , hutton, dorrans, miller, macarthur and adam they aren't up to the job.
naismith, commons ,martin, whittaker and mackay -steven should all have started. ffs try something different we had sweet F A in the middle of the pitch
am
We managed to deal with Bale with a fast free flowing brand of foul on Bale, so I don't see why Strachan didn't try and continue with fast free flowing attacking fouling on Ramsey and Robson Kanu in the 2nd half. Can you honestly say that either then would have been able to run without legs?
The likes of Griffiths, Forrest, McKay-Steven and Russell could, but they won't for Scotland. The majority of our players are technically and tactically inept. You can't have four players trying to play football while the rest are taking 5/6/7 touches, lumping it forward or just running aimlessly.
Most of our players think a full back launching it forward instead of the keeper is creative football. It's tan yer wrists material, how is it even possible to be that bad when you play football every day?!
Ryan, legs are overrated
The best players didn't need legs. Maradona barely had any legs given that he was so short and he was arguably the best ever.
Strachan got the job on the "passionate, gritty, no nonsense" mindset that has held Scottish football back for decades.
It's the same mindset that sees absolute donkeys like caldwell and miller get a game.
That was the worst performance I've seen in my 33 years from any Scotland side and that is no mean feat.
This pash mentality about young players "not being ready yet" is so typically Scottish and outdated too.
Nothing will change until attitudes do.
Dorrans and McArthur are good players, they just aren't suited to the roles they were asked to play tonight.
The worrying thing is, the lack of young defenders who are coming through. There isn't one good one that I can think of. (Unless the young lad Gasparatto coming through at us has Scottish nationality.)
