Sell Suarez?

At least he's not dragging LFC throught the mire - others can badmouth us as much as they want but let's not give them ammo.

If he's not going to get thrown out of the game (not sure he should), then let some other team deal with the aftermath.

He done the same thing at Ajax didn't he?

So you bought a player that bit someone, but are now going to sell him because he bit someone?

Selling Suarez would be a cataclysmic decision

... right up there with putting UFOs in the last Indiana Jones movie

I have listened to, read and participated in many discussions about this today. I believe there is ONLY ONE unrealistic overeaction to all I have seen, and that is those people calling for Suarez to be sold or kicked out of Liverpool.

What Suarez did was unacceptable. Those fans saying he should be dealt with lightly and giving Defoe as an example are not being realistic. He has done too many wrong things and he must stand punishment, severe punishment, maybe ten games.

After that, he must be allowed to do what he does best - play football. The man is horrible - yes (imo) but he is an exceptional player and it is Liverpool who must decide what to do with him not the FA or opposition fans.

I've just heard on the vine that Liverpool have accepted a 30million pound offer from....

The racism incident was regrettable. Despite his reasons he was wrong and he got punished but he learnt his lesson and no further racism issues have been reported.

The bite was just a moment of madness which the club have acted upon instantly and he will get his ban and then not do it again. He's on a last chance saloon and for people to think he's damaged the image of the club you need to remember that globally no other club shirt sells more than the Suarez 7.

Loy a club with no European football next season is not going to attract a decent replacement.

I agree with RedRob, you can't say things won't happen again with Suarez, they're moments of madness, issues which I don't think he's in control of. I don't think you can help that, although I hope it can be.

There has to come a point when you draw the line and say enough is enough.

Yes he had bitten someone before, but having been punished i think it was fair to assume he wouldn't cross that line again.

And again, after the racism incident you would think he would actively avoid controversy, not seek it out.

I dont care about other clubs. Let their fans worry about whether he is worth the aggro or not.

Just ask yourself what Liverpool have achieved with him, compared to the stream of negativity he has brought to the club.

I meant he won't do it the 3rd time

I can't find anything to show Suarez sold the most shirts in the world. Of premier league players RVP sold 25% compared to Suarez 3%

Suarez is fifth in the list behind Kagawa

Suarez sells shirts globally, he put's bums on seats and the hype follows him. No other player in the club can produce this now that Gerrard is in his latter years. If Sturridge has the same effect next season he still won't attract the global appeal Suarez can. If we sell him we won't get a player who can fulfil this aspect as we are a upper midtable club with no European football.

Because he's such a good footballer, people's level of acceptance to what he does is higher than what it would be of a lesser player...
example, if shelvey had done that yesterday, bearing in mind his bad boy reputation, i suspect there would be a lot of fans this morning saying "sell him, just get him out of our club".

No problem kash. What I find interesting is Liverpool only made £5 million from overseas money in the last accounts about 3% of total turnover. I personally would have thought it would be much higher.
