Good article.
If we sign a quality CM and left winger we will dominate!
We won the league by our ruthlessness, efficiency, determination and desire. If we could add some much needed creativity and wide threat to that, i would be even happier. Good time to be a red right now! the only problem will be the awful transfer rumour mill which I think will be even worst this summer than the past couple!
IMO our need for better wingers is just as bad as our need for a new CM, the service we get from the wings is almost non-existent. Considering we play with a lot of width it's quite worrying.
I believe they would improve our team more than people realise, due to our attacking fall backs. We would get a lot more out of Evra and Rafael in an attacking sense as they would have better partners in front of them, who could compliment them better and get the best out of them.
Giggs has just signed a new deal, Fergie said we only need a couple of players in the summer.
We aren't signing a midfielder, certainly not a midfielder in the mould of a player ready to come in and do a job now.

Don't be so sure, I have a feeling Fergie is going to surprise us again this summer, or maybe I'm just being optimistic.
Last summer we had Scholes, Nani and Fletcher, all 3 could be gone this year round, as well as Anderson, though I think he'll stay. If 3-4 midfielders leave it would be daft to not reinvest there, and if there's one thing Fergie is certainly not, it's daft.
I have a feeling fletcher will be back.
I absolutely love the way fletch has shown desire to come back and wish him all the best, BUT.....in my eyes, he was only ever a squad player at best. Starting the new season with giggs, fletch and scholes (should he stay) would be very, very wreckless. Fergie obviously doesnt trust ando, and has been very sparing with clevs. i think we need to finally bite the bullet and bring someone in (although i cant see it happening )
I really can't see Fletcher coming back, even if he did it shouldn't be to United, he's 29 now, best days are behind him. A long time out of football and will take time to get back to full strength and fitness (assuming his disease clears up by the summer). He won't be the same player he was in previous seasons.
We need to start looking to the future, not cling onto the 'oldies'. I don't mind Giggs staying on for another season though, as long as he's utilized as a winger against lesser teams, which he won't be.

I agree with redstevie
I think one winger and one cm would be perfect for the summer
And a change of tactics, no more of this scoring a goal and sitting back soaking up pressure for 45 minutes garbage, what top team does that apart from us???!
no messing around this summer a cm is a must
Ones that didn't win the league?
When you look at the list of midfielders..... None of the English clubs have anything that great in terms of CM strength and depth.
City have Toure, but the quality drops pretty quickly in depth.
Chelsea have great AMs but nothing special in CM.
Arsenal have Wilshire, but again, the quality drops off in terms of depth.
Spurs have some solid CMs, but not world beaters.
It is quite an unusual situations really.
We moan about the midfield, but we have the best CM, this season, in Carrick.... and they rest are all of an equal standing to the other teams in the league.
That's not to say i don't think we should strengthen there, just that we are not in any worse shame than the rest, in our league.
I think we need a new winger, and for fergie and nani to sort their relationship out. Also I think a cm, but I think the cms we have are underrated.
I like Carrick and Cleverley, they do well together and can be/are successful on a domestic level. But to achieve in Europe you really need some top players all over the pitch, remember we had VDS, Ronaldo, Evra, Vidic, Rio, Rooney etc all peaking at the time we won it, and had Carrick and Scholes working very well in the centre.
After Carrick and Clevs we don't really have anyone for CM, don't want Giggs there and certainly don't want Rooney to be moved into midfield, Anderson does a decent job when he's fit.
Strange things happen when least expected....maybe another EC will appear... but from where?
...too many guesses for the obvious.... and then out of the blue comes the answer....Wait! Anticipation is half the fun!

I agree with that. I'm not a huge fan of 'big name signings' because I believe there's loads and loads of talent out there, just most of it hasn't been realised yet. There's the ones like Naymar and Falcao etc who get hyped up but I bet there's plenty of young players in reserve teams and such who are just as talented, just waiting for their break through.
