Good one Redfor

Most pathetic away fans would be Brighton. Remind me of scousers. Even brought their own camera crew to film the abuse

_____

I'd go for SOD. Mainly because he's "such a nice bloke" but also because of "what he stands for"

I'd go for Cotterill. Sacked swiftly and didn't complain too much knowing he was crap

I think if we got to the playoffs.....We'd all want to avoid Watford

Sutton: What about because he'd got us into a very competitive position with a newly acquired squad that had had very very little time to play together? And he knew how to get strikers to score goals?

SHH

I prefer my reasons.

Such a nice bloke. With all he stands for and everything, to be treated the way he was. Such a nice bloke.

Perhaps too much of a nice bloke! That may be his problem.

Do you think that if BD had gone to Bristol when SOD did, they would have still be relegated this season. Obviously, I don't know, but interested to hear views!

I don't think Bristol would of survived with Davies as the players are not good enough.

It does worry me that our strikers had dried up since Davies took charge. It is obvious to me that Sharp will be on his way out at the end of the season. Which will be a shame.

SOD was unfairly treated IMO and to replace him with that useless Scottish heap of haggis nearly put us back in League 1

Talk about self destruct button.

Are you sensing a hint of sarcasm in Sutton's response there sph?

To be fair Billy and SoD have had equally good seasons so far. They both got us to just outside the play-offs. Billy probably edges it because of the winning run and unbeaten at home. But perhaps steadily SoD would have got us to that level too. We'll never know.

But like Sutton says, he was such a nice bloke and played football the right way. Sutton gets very angry if you say he was treated badly considering he was happy to shaft his mate Cotteril out of a job.

Their season's are pretty even, really. It's mainly the result against Hudds that makes Billy stand out, but we've had some shockers leading up to Millwall. And I enjoyed the Leeds win more than the Hudds - mainly cos it was against Leeds.

Nobody would've saved Bristol.

To be fair, I am not dissapointed that we do not have SOD anymore. Yes it was a shock when he left, but I can't pretend that before the Leeds game people were starting to get annoyed with him. I even pointed out at the time that i said I thought he may be gone by Christmas (only missed it by a day).

I think in a way I agree with Rev, he had taken us as far as he could, I know people will say oh he only had half a season which is true but it is the same thing when I went to see Millwall after only the 2nd game of the season the year before with the Wolly in charge and thought we would be in a relegation battle that year with him in charge and I was right!

I just could not ever see SOD ever getting us into the PL, yes he wanted the team to play the nice way but it is not so different now Billy is in charge as we still play the "nice way" but just seems to be more intent. Also we play the way Forest want to play now and many times under SOD we wanted to play how the other team wanted to play (e.g. remember Watford/ and Hull?)

Am i sad SOD isn't our manager anymore? not really, it is harsh that he went from aiming from the PL to being relegated to league 1 but I just don't think he was the right person for Forest. I think he is probably in the same category for me of Forest managers as Calderwood was, one of those managers who you would not boo if he came back with a different team but then again would not want him to be the manager again!

Billy is the manager anyway so in the end it took us 20 months but we finally came good! (another prediction which I got right! )

Billy hasn't taken us any further than SoD yet. You need to remember that SBD when you go on about how amazing he is. He brilliantly motivated a decent squad to perform well after the disaster that was McLeish. Once he got us up to 5th, we've reverted to the inconsistencies we saw in his last reign. Are we really playing the Forest way? At times we are, but we also played some nice stuff occasionally under SoD. SoD was too weak undoubtably and set us up not to lose. But don't kid yourself that Billy doesn't do that too.

Say we were drawing 0-0 SOD would hold on for the point, but with BD we would go for the win e.g with Hull

Also looking at facts

SOD gained 39 points from 26 games = 1.5 poins per game

BD has gained 26 points from 14 games = 1.86 points per game

On facts even just taking this season into account Billy has gained more points per game then SOD and with the same group of players who he didn't even choose himself!

posted on 29/4/13

Over a season SOD would gain us 69 points which I think would have probably been the result with him.

With BD it is 85 points

Simples, one we miss out on play-offs with most probably, the other we would have had autos if they had continued their form!

It is hard to say this would have happened but it shows a point!

What was Mister Ecks average?

5 points from 7 games = 0.71 points per game

Over a season = 32 points

Even the Wolly had a better average!

So technically McLeish was worse for us then the Wolly!

In fact I am not going to go through all the managers but technically he has been our worse manager ever on looking at points per game!
