You seem to be going back to the whole anti Irish thing again
If you feel so strongly about it, write to Nike
I doubt very much if the tracksuit was worn by WGS or Mogga you would have the same hurt feeling.
"Who are you to say its OTT its not your club, its not your place to dictate how they should embrace their history."
Its not my place, just understand how folk outside your club see you, and there's nothing bigoted about it.
People see Celtic as a Scottish club that would much rather celebrate how Irish they are than fly the flag of the country they were founded in, play in and have represented for over a century
Is that a fact or is it wrong??
As far as I am concerned its true, and people have a right to be able to speak out about it and have a bit of an issue with it without being bigoted, anti Irish or small minded
Well your getting yourselves upset about a tricolour and its perceived connection with the ra....it could be equally applied to anything that is significantly irish like st paddys day and Guinness.
IE, the Irish tricolour is the flag of a sovereign nation. It is not the flag of the ra
Its not about being anti irish but it is about being overly upset by anything irish, a lot of people do for some reason.
Never said it was Barry.
I mean
I like Ireland. Supported them in the World Cup in 94.
Why do bhoys think gers fans are all anti Irish?
"People see Celtic as a Scottish club that would much rather celebrate how Irish they are than fly the flag of the country they were founded in, play in and have represented for over a century

Wrong. The club flys the Scottish flag.

-----
I don't care how others view my club. Lets be honest here guys celtics pr and marketing has been significantly better than rangers for a good while now, maybe your club could learn a thing or two from us.
It's beginning to look like some do IE. If my country's flag gets you all hot and bothered.
Barry sshh they're no talking about that fleg theyre talkkng about another fleg.
"I doubt very much if the tracksuit was worn by WGS or Mogga you would have the same hurt feeling"
1) Yes I would have a problem with it, I wouldnt be hurt, I wold just think it was a bad idea, as I do the now.
2) WGS and Mogga are not former northern Ireland captains wearing ROI colours, something bound to annoy a few NI suppoorters, some for the wrong reasons obviously, others purely on the basis that their former captain is wearing an ROI flag around his neck every week
If the Irish tricolour is wrong; what about the Red Hand?
Point is I really couldn't care what strip rangers wear. They could play in Speedos if they want to. Our club makes it own choices, very successfully. Only ones that seem to get upset over a tracksuit top is some Gers.
It is odd that the irish flag is on the celtic strip, no doubt.
Don't see anybody getting hot and bothered by it tho?!?

Who cares? Let them and if they are it exposes them for the narrow minded numpties they are.
Neil lennons wearing another countries fleg sad and pathetic.

All Celtic's PR do is jump on the Irish bandwagon
Its like all the Irish pubs run by folk who dont even know how to spell Ireland let alone come from the place or have any connections....playing on a brand is all it is
Only in Scotland
Aye ok kneel
What the same fans that gave him death threats so to stop him playing?? I really don't think he gives a flying fook
lots of people dont like lots of things only when its Irish must it be something sinister Anti English is just jolly japes

Nobody said its sinister, boy you rangers fans have some imagination.
Anti English stuff is boring and tedious as well shows us up for being numpties.
"If the Irish tricolour is wrong; what about the Red Hand?"
The irish tricolour isnt wrong.....its just not really something that should be boldly displayed in the club official attire, thats my argument......particuarly when there's not a saltire in sight and Celtic are a Scottish Club
