fergie is a football man, bates isnt. The difference is huge.
A pain in the haas or an insignificance?
I was wondering about the similarities between Taylor Swift and Frankie Boyle.

OK - I know some need insinuations in print, despite the obvious 'elephant in the room' point being made (i.e. not whether they are 'football' people):
Next season - both will no longer be the 'frontman' they have been for a long......nevertheless, they will almost certainly not be slow to impart their opinions on those who will supposedly be 'running the show' from next season.
I wouldn't call that 'bizarre'.
I mean neither Ferguson or Bates have the reputation for being the quiet, retiring type, do they?!?!?!
Ah - that's a bit better. Think we gotcha now Real

Surely every club or business of any sort has a person giving their opinions and ideas to a manager or a board.

Between you - kind of the point I was trying to make!
I think that Moyes will be happy to ask for SAF's opinion, but that SAF will only give it when asked. He knows the that the most important person at any club is the manager.

I think that Rooney will be gone. Its all about getting the right sort of money for him now.
Why would Rooney leave? He's had two managers in his career and that stat hasn't changed!

TBH I get the feeling he isn't happy about being moved around the pitch, could be just wanting a change of scenery the other theory is he isn't happy not being the main man with all plaudits going to RVP.
I still think he is pretty important to us but if he wants to leave then as long as we get good money I trust us to bring in the right replacement, possibly even in a different area of the team.
It might have passed your notice Stevie - but the article doesn't make any comparison with the past, merely the future.
I'm well aware that even if I said grass was green, you'd probably say it was blue, but unconstructive pettiness is pointless.
No one's denying Fergie's past success OR for that matter Bates' failure.....but let's keep that for another article. Or perhaps I should just be petty and disagree with you for the sake of it.......?
Enough said.
Now let's get back to the adult way of discussion.
