How is it fantastic? I would start him ahead of Ba and Torres.
Moses was a weird signing, he's not very good.

Never want to see Sturridge in a Chelsea shirt again.

You never will. Unless you part with £50m
I agree with the OP about our club's inability to nurture, develop and improve young talent and nothing demonstrates this better than the Sturridge saga...
However, I do find the article a little contradictory in that the OP himself does not appear to have that much patience for Moses.
Sturridge wanted to play through the middle and wasn't going to sign a new contract, we made good money from him all things considered.
Just because you dislike him doesnt mean he wasnt good enough for Chelsea. He's more of a goalthreat than Moses Ba and Torres combined. Fact. Rafa fact.
Oh and the rationale for selling Sturridge was that Roman had given a club directive to always play the Spanish Donkey whatever............

Really ? Have you considered opportunity cost?
Gazza agrees with all the suits doings.
It's why he doesn't want Rooney cause he's a Jose signing

What is it to do with then?
Yeah, stick him in the blockade with Malouda
Some Chelsea fans are extremely stubborn/bitter when it comes to Sturridge. It's clear he's a talented player, who would start for us when he's like this quite easily, like he did under AVB, seen so many excuses of why, even wen he plays well, he's somehow not good enough
"Kevin Davies carries him"
"He only scores tap-ins"
"As he scores goals, the team he plays for will carry on going down"
"He can't play a striker's role"
"Only raises his game against team's he's played against anyway"

Let me see a young striker with electric pace and a great goal scoring instinct..............yes why on earth would we want to keep a striker with these attributes?
Biggish I am sure that Sturridge would have scored goals if we had made him first striker. I doubt he would have performed as well as he has done for Liverpool though. And it would shock me if he just kept on banging them in and improving his game and being all smiles. He just seems a bit of an Anelka.

Anelka should have become a great, his attitude let him down, but he was still very good.
