Sorry Ivan, I should have thought of the song, I even remember the other one now. I was born 7 years after the event though, if that's an excuse.
I think the only player from that time I ever saw was Malpas, but he was in his late 70s when he finally retired.

Malpas was still a class act even when he was close to retiring. There was one season in the mid/late 90s when he was playing CB for us that he was outstanding in every single game. I think he got third in the POTY awards and it was a scandal.
