They never said Suarez said anything about leaving. They released a statement to calm the transfer talk story and told everyone that Suarez hasn't told them he wants to leave (which was being reported in the media).

The club DID NOT release statement in RESPONSE to Suarez comments. You're making that up all by yourself. They released a statement to calm the quick spreading stories about Suarez leaving.
