Rooney needs to be driven by whoever is his manager or by himself.He has earned enough and earns enough to know him and his family will never make a dent into the money they have in the bank.

I think personally that he is happy to just do enough to get by.His place in the England set up is guarenteed and up to the final few months of the season then the same was with United.

I agree with this, and basically what I alluded to but you put it better.

I can understand that, and it's just a shame as a United and England fan he didn't have Ronaldo's drive, but what I cannot forgive is his attitue towards his fitness.

That's down for your manager and Uniteds backroom team.Rooney obviously knew he could not be in tip top condition and woud still get picked.Until the last few months of this last season.

I don't think Moyes will allow him to be out of condition.Moyes will show his authority by ensuring all players get in tip top condition

While that is true I think that is a terrible attitude to have.

Player power is very prevalent in this case and why I think it is wrong for Rooney to act that way.

It's why I also don't think he'll be happy with this training regime you speak of.

At the end of the day, for whatever reason, Rooney often acts like a bit of a pr!ck. This is the problem most United fans have with him and why they aren't sad to see him sold.
