I often am SDF

I'm curious if there is a limit though to how many you can play - sure you can't put out 11 trialists in a game? It would mean Ally would have to pick and choose which players to use in which game before 1st September however.

Heres your answer son.

Each trialist is allowed to play 3 times. Games from the League and Ramsdens cup all count towards that 3 game total.

Trialists are now allowed to play in the League Cup, which Rangers will be part of from Round One, starting in August.

Even if a trialist appears on the bench, but doesnt make it onto the field, that will still count as one of their 3 games.

Each match day squad can only feature a max of 2 trialists.

So for example, if Cammy Bell plays in our first Ramsdens Cup game, we would only be able to play one of the other new players. The rest would have to miss out.

It also means Cammy Bell will not be able to play in all of our games before September the 1st or League Cup ties. Meaning we will have to call on one of the younger kids if Neil Alexander leaves as expected.

we have 24 players over 21 with bocanegra and goian maybe coming back making that 26 and you are only allowed 22 players over 21 in your squad in the sfl

we will have to get rid of players and i don't see us signing anybody else until we do

polloks,

Can you list the 24?

Ron cheers for that

Where did you get that from?

Trialists can play 3 times andcan play in both the league and ramsdens cup. Only 2 Trialists can be fielded/named in a matchday squad though.

The Daily Record had an interview with someone from the SFA who clarified everything.

Basically they will be allowed to take part but we will still be really depending on the squad from last season to get us off to a good start in the first month or so of the season.

Think I read that there will only be 3 games between the league starting and the 1st of.September, plus any league.cup games, should we progress. Hopefully it's not too much an issue.

Bell and Daly will be those that are played in all likelihood.

We donºt need any more if Boca and Goian stay, getting rid of 4 ?? My priorities would be Black, Hutton,Alexander and Hemmings. Then you can choose from Shiels , Perry and the others who'll nevr make it.

Great stuff.

Just wondering then at which point the realisation that you have players in the squad getting paid wages that almost no SPL teams can afford will sink in?

Guys like Black etc will not just walk out the door....

They have to be bought or paid off....

We were talking about the over 21 rule last week so it's hardly a revelation.

Someone listed all 24 players and people like Stella and Kyle were on it
