Ron Noades, ex Palace chairman, asked David Dein, ex-Arsenal vice-chairman, to buy Zaha.

And this is relevant to anything how?

Didn't Wenger ever wanting him at a press confrence?

You talking to me D'Jeezus?

posted on 13/6/13

Yeah why would anyone want to talk to David Dein when discussing transfer to Arsenal?

No, Dubbed, the ego of Ron Noades.
I think the key phrase is "I was mildly involved in it", meaning he had as much involvement as me.

David Dein is only useful when talking about Arsenal selling their players due to his son.

What a shame, this will be ronaldo mk.II

We should probably be careful about slating Zaha; firstly, he hasn't actually done anything wrong, he just moved to United for a fee out of his control; secondly it was poor when Theo was constantly berated by fans of other teams and did him no favours in an Arsenal or England shirt.

Zaha is crap though, his control is absolutely $hite.

David Dein left the club ver 5 years ago, why would talking to him facilitate a move to Arsenal in January this year?!?

Poses an interesting question as to whether Dein is involved indirectly (i.e gives Wenger info on player availability etc).

We all know that he and AW are very close and have an excellent relationship. Dein still has very good contacts in the game, and when he and AW do meet up on holidays, lunches, dinners etc, surely it is not too far fetched thinking about them discussing players? Just a shame Dicky Law cannot seal a deal like Dein could.

Zaha is so bad. He might be a slight improvement of Young, but then again, half of the posters on here would probably be an improvement on that gimp

Actually, he might not be an improvement on Young...

Zaha has talent and I think we would have gone for him had Theo not signed as soon as that happened Zaha signed for United instantly (think SAF was monitoring the Theo situation a little too).

He could turn out to be a top player though he has bags of talent and ability but these types of players only go 2 ways. Ox can be better though so I'm ok with this

Bags of ability and talent? Really? Little bit of pace? Bit of power? That's talent in your eyes? He'll never ever become top class.
I don't what you've been watching.

Fyi Ox is already twice the player.

The reason we were never in for Zaha because there was no point at which we weren't going to give Walcott what he wanted.
