Diarra couldnt even make a big impact at Portsmouth. Why do you think Madrid are so desperate to rid of him even though he wants to stay? He's not very good.

mikel is so bad yet every single manager we have had whilst mikel has been here as chosen to play him on a regular basis, in the last few seasons even if essien has been fit mikel would still start in the same team. No one has chosen to sell him.

----

No one has sold him, cos no one would buy him

We've been through that argument.

People like Scolari, Hiddink, Jose saw his possible potential. He was younger when they were there.

But he has not fulfilled any of his promise, and last season clearly demonstrated his lack of usefulness or ability.

And Mourinho is a great manager, but not a god, he makes a fair few mistakes like everyone else does.

He made such a little impact that cash strapped Portsmouth got £20m for him!

Good one BK

Honestly as a 2nd choice I dunno so why dont you tell me who he is better than then?

of course no one would buy mikel

we are all entitled to our own opinion i guess

Madrid overpaid for him. It's like the Carroll transfer. Now Madrid would be lucky to get half of that

yep, I;ve tried to close this argument with that line a dozen times already. but BK just keeps on posting.

What, them paying 20m for Diarra was worse than us paying £17m for Mikel.

hahahahahhaahhahahahahah if he failed at pompy then why did Real sign him?

How can you fail at Chelsea. get signed by Arsenal
Fail at Arsenal. get signed by an entertaining pompy side
Fail at a freefalling pompy side. get signed by one of the worlds biggest clubs.

Yes!

Gullit. For a start i would say he is better than any prem 2nd choice, unless you count yaya toure as citys 2nd choice dm to de jong

neither ambrosini at ac or mariga at inter are better

apart from the big two in spain no one is better.

no better 2nd choice at bayern.

definitly no one better in the french league as second choice.

If he didn't fail why does he continually get sold? Why don't these clubs want to keep him? Other than Portsmouth why did/does he never start for any of these clubs?

Guys how many Arsenal and Man U mates do you have that always tell you when both teams meet in the big clash that they cheer with joy when they see Mikel on the team sheet?

Same like how I cheer when Bendtners on the teamsheet. I hope he stays at Arsenal. Same with Johnny Evans.

the same mikel who kept fabregas out of the game at the emirates the season before last no?

Question is why did those clubs sign him in the first place? I wouldnt say hes that bad at Real. He managed to push the other Diarra out the squad but when they sign guys like Khedira, Sahin and many more its quite difficult to get into the team. Would Real ever sign Mikel? Even for 10mil?

I think the confidence of Arsenal is low when you have Ashly cole, Drogba and Anelka tearing you apart. Plus that was 2 years ago. Hes has to have a good game considering the amount he does play.

They dont know more about our team they just know certain players like Mikel are Sheeeet.

they would also tell you that rooney is average. they would tell you terry is well past it or cech is a poor keeper.

but ok

They don't need to and if they did we wouldn't let him go. Right now if we sold Mikel we would get around 15million. When Diarra gets sold he'll be around 8 million. Again why would RM be so desperate for him to go ...leaving him out of a pre season squad...even when he wants to stay...if he was that good? He was a poor investment. The question is why these teams -which are buying and not selling teams (except Portsmouth) kept letting him go if he was that good?

Diarra doesn't even start for France, the likes of Sissojo and M'vila get ahead of him. I would take it back if he went to a big team - started games and wasn't a headless chicken but he won't.

Sorry not Sissoko...but m'Vila does

Who would say that? Certainly not my close football mates. They have great football knowledge are very objective in thier statements.

I usually hear that Rooney is still World Class but not on Messis or Ronaldos level.

I usually hear that Terry still has no pace and is not as good as he was but is still a leader and vital for Chelsea

I usually hear that Cech aswell is not the best since his head injury but still a class keeper.

Maybe fans you speak to are not very balanced with thier statements.

Arsenal are a selling team - we all know this
Real Madrid are a selling team - Van nistelrooy, Snieder, Van der varrt etc.

What do you think of Rafa? Even though not good enough for Real madrid do you think he would be an excellent additon for Chelsa?
