How exactly are we planning to get Warner out with this field?

NO id have never chose him as captain in the first place.
They should have gone for Prior.

Looks like full and straight to the pads. To be fair its a better idea than short and wide outside off stump rubbish we were throwing down for most of the afternoon session.

The likes of Brenan is a Cook choice.. Shows he none to bright in the way he thinks. The way he acted at Leeds over NZ.. was ridiculous. We won the game. But could have won it a day earlier.
I do no rate Cook as captain.

For goodness sake, Cook - listen to Atherton

surely gotta try and cramp warner up......don't let him free his arms up.....and hopefully lb comes into play...

and/or you dry his scoring up and he bores himself out.....!!!!

must attack khwajah.....delicate lil bean he is right now.....

They way they treat Onions in this game is shocking.. We would have bowled Australia out cheaper for starters.
Onions is a better bowler than Bresnan.

And why is Anderson back on?

Partnership building, hope fading.

Clarke would have given Root a twirl at Warner to a 7-2 field if he had been able to step into Cook's shoes.

No invention whatsoever.

Why oh why oh why oh why

Jimmy Anderson will not get a wicket in a million years the way he has bowled this innings - totally out of rhythm and low on confidence.

And yet Cook gives him the ball with relish. Clueless.

All of the bowlers have looked clueless UH. We are bowling our two best bowlers in hope of a wicket, simple as that.

The wicket as died a death.. Its lost its pace. That's the biggest problem.

Geoffrey Boycott, Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special
"England's top three have got to start scoring - or they should be dropped. They cannot continue being 30-3 or 40-3. What would my top five be? Bell, Pietersen, Bell, Pietersen, Bell. And if I could make sure Prior couldn't bat - because he hasn't scored any runs - then I'd put Bell in again."

England are so lucky that the rain saved them at old Trafford.

another bites the dust..

Thats the problem with Cook hasn't got a clue Anderson not bowling well so what does Cook do bring him back, why not give Root a bowl change things round do something new.

bad captaincy here well not just here but for a while now. But you have to give credit to the Aussies they have come out positive and not just with the bat but the ball.

thank god another wicket
