Agree with you that it would be a major disappointment if we lost the likes of Batth and Doherty. They are hardly big earners so cant believe we need to offload them.

The only problem we have is that there is an implication of being in League One - as we saw with Murphy chossing Leeds ahead of us. And if a Championship club came in and offered the likes of Batth a higher level and a higher salary then we might struggle to keep him

That I think is where the commitment comes in - Morgan, Moxey and Jacket need to convince the likes of Baath that they can take the club back to the Premiership by investing in the team. It would be a shocker if Sheffield Wednesday are able to pay Batth more than we can/convince him they have the brighter future.

The usual rumours sites which may of course be rubbish. The Batth one appears persistent worryingly. Doherty to Villa was a new one. May be nothing but I'm in a 'low trust' situation right now with Bob the Builder and his henchman (Moxey as Wendy is an interesting mental picture).

You can understand why Batth may be a little miffed after last season, but I would imagine kj will have reassured him that he is a starter.
