No, Great Britain and the United Kingdom refer to different areas.

Great Britain is very often, but incorrectly, used as a synonym for the sovereign state properly known as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or the UK for short.

If you look at the full name of the UK, you will see that the UK includes Great Britain AND Northern Ireland.

Andy Murray did not grow up in Spain at all. He went there to a tennis academy in Barcelona at age 15 for 18 months. No doubt it helped his development but he did not learn everything he knows there. Clay is the specialist surface in Spain and that is by far Murray's worst surface.

All the people saying Murray is Scottish not British, I'm guessing you didn't celebrate the Lions win? Because there were barely any Scots involved.
