Gazza has spent the last decade looking like he does in that photo but the good old British media keep getting sucked in along with all of Gazza's 'new close friends'.
Sure your his mates, just like that clown from Talksport!
Gazza aint even a charity case anymore. Lets not waste anymore money on him. There are people out of the public eye that haven't had the million chances Gazza has had that actually deserve treatment.
my uncle was alcoholic and he was a very kind man but nobody could help him. he was divorced and he told me used drinks to forget his problems and also he suffered depression. i understand mental illness, in my opinion the disease is mental illness and alcohol can be result of that to forget the problems.
We all enjoyed it when he was at his best, THAT goal against Scotland should earn him all the care he ever needs.
Problem is he can't or won't take it
It may have only been for a couple of seasons but the joy, enthusiasm and talent displayed on the pitch while at Spurs was a sight to behold.
Those memories will always stay at the fore front of my mind rather than what is happening to him now.
Bumble would you have the same opinion about Gazza if he was a former Villa player?.....
I doubt it.

How boring is this, wasn't it the sun who also printed the dentist chair story, now look,
A normal person off the streets would have taken the many chances gazza has had, its such an awful situation to see someone who you grew up watching in such a state but only gazza can say how its come to this, maybe the help he got wasn't good enough but atleast it was help many just take the one opportunity,
When sympathy turns to oh feck sake not again you know people have had enough but credit to those who understand humanity and still offer gazza the help
I cannot believe that I've seen people refer to Alcoholism or Alcohol dependence as a disease. These are if anything, disorders.

For over 20 years I suffered with an addiction to the drug nicotine. For the bulk of that time I was smoking around 30 cigarettes a day, more at weekends. But despite never having a smokers cough and still paying football until my early forties, a little over 8 years ago I decided enough was enough and I stopped completely.
It certainly wasn't easy, in fact it was a living hell for the first 3 or 4 months. I lost count of the amount times I nearly succumbed to temptation, especially after a few beers or when I saw others around me lighting up and having that satisfied look on their faces.
Even now, eight years later, there are times and situations when I look on enviously at people enjoying a puff of a cigarette and could quite easily grab it out of their hand and restart the habit.
But, no matter how drunk, or stressed, or down I'm feeling, I've always had the strength to say 'DON'T', and I never have. I believe that strength is called willpower.
When I was a smoker, I never once felt I had a disease. There was no medical condition that, against my will, forced a cigarette between my fingers and made me light it. I smoked because I wanted to and I stopped because I wanted to.
If Paul Gascoigne wants to stop then only he can make it happen now. If he doesn't, then friends and family can know they did all they could, but now is the time to let fate take its course.
Care to explain how on earth Alcoholism is a disease? Alcoholism goes into the same category as gambling and smoking.
You can change, or even cure, those by altering your own behaviour. Can you cure Cancer by changing your own behaviour? The answer would be no.
He has an addiction to alcohol, probably brought on by mental issues, which is an illness not a disease.
Gazza`s problems obviously go deeper than just enjoying a drink. His ex wife should pay for his treatment, she has all his money after all.
