@richard_conway: David Moyes on Rooney: "dont forsee him not being fit for the start of the season." Confirms grade 1 hamstring tear - out 2 to 3 weeks #mufc
@AdamSMarshall: Moyes on Larnell Cole: "The people tell me he's an exciting prospect" - via @nickcoppack in Bangkok. Missing tour due to U20 World Cup
@Chris_Elastico: Moyes - "Unless I was speaking Double Dutch I said Wayne Rooney is not for sale" #MUFC
@Chris_Elastico: Moyes on squad: "I'm really excited but I'm more excited about the players I'm working with. Their professionalism is second to none" #MUFC
@Chris_Elastico: Moyes: "Every training game they want to win and I think that's something about Manchester United, it's inbuilt in the players." #MUFC
Unless I was speaking Double Dutch I said Wayne Rooney is not for sale
@Chris_Elastico: Moyes: "I'm expecting Thiago to sign some time next week" #MUFC
18:58 And on the fitness of Nani, Moyes added: "Nani had an operation on his nose. We're not sure if flying is allowed so we'll have to wait and see." (GT)
18:57 Rio was just asked how it feels to be the official team DJ and also about his love for a couple of Thai musicians. He set the record straight on Patrice Evra being the team DJ! (GT)
18:56 Moyes also revealed that the Reds will look at flying out Nemanja Vidic for some part of the tour providing his treatment goes well for his sciatica problem. "He's doing fine," said Moyes. "He's on a course of injections to help his sciatica. If he improves then we'll consider bringing him out later on. The one thing we don't want to do is make it worse by flying him halfway around the world. So we have to consider that." (GT)
18:55 Moyes confirmed some of the younger lads on the pre-season trip will be afforded a chance to impress on tour. "Some of the younger players will get some game-time. The likes of Chris Smalling and Ashley Young are not too far away." (GT)
When we arrived at the airport I heard lots of screaming young ladies. I don't think it was for me! It was like a famous pop group had arrived. It was pandemonium. I've not done a tour like this before. The players have done it, though. At the moment we've been made really welcome, everything's been well arranged and we hope the people here can enjoy seeing the team play." (GT)
18:50 On transfer targets, Moyes says: "There are targets we're chasing. At this moment in time we're happy with how things are going." The manager was then asked about Barcelona's Tiago who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford. He had this to say: "I never said he was [a target]." (GT)
18:48 We have arrived at the stadium for the press conference with David Moyes and Rio Ferdinand. There is a huge gathering of local and British media all hungry to hear from the manager and Rio. One of the first questions on the lips of the press was about Wayne Rooney. Moyes has this to say: "It's a blow that we've lost him [to injury]. He's been training well and looking good. He felt something in his hamstring - we double-checked it and he has a slight grade one injury. It will probably keep him out for two to three weeks. I don't see any problems with him being fit for the start of the season." He added when asked about speculation on his future: "Unless I was speaking double Dutch I think I've said Wayne Rooney is not for sale."
@Chris_Elastico: Rio: "The intensity of training has gone up...players want to impress him & coaching staff. We want to be in first starting line-up." #MUFC
The manager was then asked about Barcelona's Tiago who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford. He had this to say: "I never said he was [a target]."

I confidently predict there will be no further discussion of [that player]
@MUFCLatestnews: Moyes: "There are targets we're chasing. At this moment in time, we're happy with how things are going." #mufc
@physioroom: #Moyes on #Nani 'He has had an operation on his nose. We are not sure if he can fly because of the breathing' #MUFC
Off topic for a bit:
@ManUtdReport: Old Trafford pitch update. #mufc http://t.co/nvJH466xjm
Looking forward to seeing Welbeck get game time up top.
@physioroom: #Moyes on #Vidic 'He had some injections. Its sciatica. He may come & join us but we don’t want to make it worse by flying him across' #MUFC
Any idea if I've won a bit of the turf Arab?

MJ had an operation on his nose too, didn't he?

He also had an aversion to old men...
Sounds like Rooney, Nani and Anderson are all going to be staying when it was predicted that possibly 2 or 3 of them would leave a few months ago.
Doesn't leave a great deal of space for new signings with the new 25 man squad rule. We must be filling that already, surely? And perhaps one of two of our youngers players will have to be counted this season too.
Forgot about the new pitch
The manager was then asked about Barcelona's Tiago who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford. He had this to say: "I never said he was [a target]."
------------------------------------------
Well, although i am actually gutted that we're not officially after him, it's slight consolation to know where we stand on this transfer target.
I just hope we have someone/others lined up who are quality and 'WANT' to come play for us.
Moyes also brushed off the latest questions about the future of Wayne Rooney, after Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho expressed an admiration for the England international on Friday.
"People are entitled to talk about good players," he insisted. "I'm sure Jose has been asked about lots of players as well. I'll keep repeating myself: Wayne is a Manchester United player and he'll remain that."
@AdamSMarshall: David Moyes is happy with how his transfer market work on targets is progressing - http://t.co/jKzc66ozTr
@bbcradiomanc: Manchester United manager David Moyes: "I don't forsee any problem with Wayne Rooney starting the season and being fit." #mufc #manutd
I wish just one of these journalists asked Moyes this.
"David, does Wayne want to stay at United? Can you 100% guarantee he'll be in a United shirt from September 1st?'
That would clear everything up.
