Dying out,cos the're are'nt many wonder parents left.
Wonder woman's on the pill
they are all too proud of their kids getting asbos now days that's why.
If you transplanted a young Scholes, Gerrard, Owen, Fowler, Giggs into any current youth program they would be first team regulars and internationals within a year.
It's got nowt to do with foreigners or changes to the system. The talent just isn't there overall.
Although Sterling & his magical barnet may well be breaking out this year.
In the UK it would certainly seem so. Rooney breaking through big wasn't even that long ago! I'd find it hard to think the coaching has gotten that much worse to be honest.
I'd say it's more to do with a change in times and therefor how younger players think. Like you say still some quality players coming though but the days of the wonder-kid around here seem to have died off for the foreseeable future.
"Rooney breaking through big wasn't even that long ago!"
it was a decade ago
Having kids with linda carter would of just got in the way of having fun with her.
"it was a decade ago"
Jesus time flies fast, certainly doesn't feel like a decade
wonder woman shoots out kiddos fully grown hours after the event.
They come out sideways and she don't scream or nothin'
Kids round our way are more interested in being the next curtis warren than playing footy.

Well, Marlon King seems to combine the two.
There must be a reason for the decline in coaching, a decade since the last "next big thing," and probably, barring maybe Jack Wilshere, the last English player to be able to get in any team around the world.
If we introduce two footed flying mac10 and machete challenges,or selling green and mkat at the corner flag maybe they'll be more interested??
I think there attitude has something to do with it as well the likes of John Bostock and Ravel Morrison were regarded as the next big thing but there "I have already made it attitude" has costed them

The reason why there's no wonderkids in this country is because their lazy and spoilt. All lads want to do now days is play on their consoles, and the amount of hours girls I know spend on facebook is obscene.
A top class 17 year old will still break through straightaway.
Plenty of very good 17-20 year olds won't though, and this is a problem as they don't get enough match practice and so don't improve at the rate they might.
The percentage of English players in the PL is just too low. This is because not enough are good enough, but if we want to help them become good enough, then we have to have more getting game time and testing themselves against the best.
I am not sure how to improve it though. Quota systems are difficult, how do you enforce a percentage getting regular game time, without ridiculously increasing value more than it already is?
One important rule change for me would be to stop all teams buying foreign kids and filling their academy's with foreigners.
No signings from abroad until they are over 18 or something. This would at least mean that British kids got the best coaching up to that age, not discarded down the leagues at 16 because the club signed the best 16 year old from Spain instead.
The problem with those sort of rules is at what point does restriction of trade etc come into it. You just know the European Courts would have issues with rules like that.
They would have no issue with an U18 rule.
Already abroad players can't sign contracts until they turn 18. The rules are more relaxed here which is why we are always nicking foreign kids.
Wonder woman's on the pill
We won't need to worry about home grown in future if the euro gets its way as one big state, that'll put an end to the championships too.
Imo it's a combination of:
a) English clubs buying way too many arrived players from all over the world. Look at City: what chance does an 18/19 year old talent have to get into the first team, if players like Dzeko, Jovetich, Negredo, Aguero are not even playing (can't play them al at the same time).
b) Awarding young talent , who have everything to prove still, with ridiculous wages. A large part of them will think they have it made already, loose focus re their football carreer. Keep them hungry, keep them sharp, and only award them with a proper wage once they have proven themselves for a large part of the season in the first team.
Look at the polava with sterling after a dozen games or so.Still has everything to prove in my opinion.
wonderkids do exist but not in England. To be honest England should take a leaf out of the cricket team and just lets people with british nationality play for them aswell.
England used to have a joke cricket team 10-15 years ago, now they have one of the best.
But the rules for football are different for some reason and good players like Arteta are rejected so we can play Cleverly and Welbeck lol.

Agree, Sterling getting in the England squad last season based on about 6 games was ludicrous, but shows the dearth of talent around.
I fully expect Sterling to have a very good season this year mind.

Agreed, he's earning about the same as Suarez did when he first signed a contract.
He's earning far more than Eriksen does at Ajax (approx gbp 600k a year!).
