Of all the cliches in journalism, the 'he told friends' line has to be by far the most irritating. It basically translates to 'we have made this up completely to sell a few papers'

How many times are the media going to use the "has told friends" line to sell their bull!!!
---
As long as the gullible people keep buying their papers.

The tabloids also seem to expect us to believe that footballers always have really cruddy friends who go straight to them with such information.

Plus i think i read that Fabregas has said that he never talks to anyone regarding possible transfers, not even his family..!!

Still is be lying if I were to deny part of me isn't screaming 'please let this be true'!

Seems legit.

Shame it isn't true. I wish it was just to the see the go-oners go into meltdown

Didn't Rooney tell "sources close to him" that he was angry and confused?

Most here seem to believe that one though

It's not that unbelievable that Rooney is angry and confused.

Afterall he is ugly as fack and thick as $hit.

^ RE that, anything to bash Rooney these days, pathetic for a player that has done so much for the club. *runs away*

ji sung he did tell fergie he wanted to leave

I will choose to believe it because it is what I want to hear. Although I'm sure he told some other friends he'd only ever leave barca for Arsenal last week. 2 faced

Somebody has no sense of humour.

Funny because I read that he called Moyes saying he's not interested.

It's on people.

The ever reliable Fox Sports Russia are reporting that it's a done deal!

I usually pay attention to the local sources with some sort of links to football. For example, this guy who has been very good to read on:

To those asking I'd be surprised if Fabregas to MUFC happens. But there's others in the pipeline that I'd be happier with.

I won't believe it until it's on caughtoffside.com.

It's funny how people put an article on here about a media story and question its validity, but putting it on here just makes the 'believers' even more hyped up and the 'non-believers' just more cynical.

There have been so many stories about Fabregas, some saying it'll never happen, others thinking it must happen because we are pursuing so intently, but none of us know anything.

Simply need to wait until both clubs announce a deal is done or it is dead and buried, and then we can all put our minds to rest.

His friends are all snitchers!

To be honest, i'm kind of enjoying being in the transfer jungle with the Citys and Chelseas of the world.

Keeps things interesting.

But next year, let's tie up Gundogan, Bale and Ronaldo on July 1st.

Daily mail eh?

Expect him to come out tomorrow and say he's going nowhere then.
