Can I go in goal - I'm too old and fat to chase the ball!
Did say the the unsigned players would get sick of waiting and leave!! This is a disaster and looks very bad for us !! It needs to be sorted NOW !
Meath,
The selection criterion for the keeper is down to the keeper that kick the ball the furthest. Best of luck and bulk will be considered an advantage.
I had Spurr on my team sheet to go in goal
just seen Ross Turnbull on beach maybe he could be the answer to our goalkeeping problem
WHITBY......i told you that in confidence
you also told me Alfie was coming Lanza
Oh dear, oh dear whatever next!
According to JR we will all be surprised by the transfers. Too !!!!!!! right JR.
Time to go.
Spurr not gone quite yet but expected to sign at the end of the week.
Perhaps, perhaps Tommy is just forcing our board to get a move on?
Wishfull thinking me thinks alex but i hope you're right
I certainly will not be asking for Ryan's head. You do not go in to negotiations letting the other side take complete control. Our board is dealing with a Tyrant who will try and bully Bramall and Watson in to submission right to the wire. I would prefer the old regime the board, the team, supporters and the pub team spirit. To hell with the throwing of silly money at the team from a tyrant with no feeling for the club.
If JR has to regroup and rally the troops we will get through theses ripples of discontent.
Bongani Khumalo signs on loan
Alex I'm fully in support of your comments and thoughts. It really is make your mind up time.
Do we really want to be involved with these people? http://www.thedetail.tv/issues/4/moriarty-tribunal/key-player-for-michael-lowry-was-banned-from-being-a-director
The questions I would put to the board tonight are:
If the deal fails:
Q.
Can you thank the board for beating off this tyrant and keeping the status quo.
and if the takeover is agreed;
Q.
Congratulate the board for acquiring the talent of this great business man.
That sums up the hypocrisy in football
Im with you all the way Alex better the devil you know and all that. they haven't done too bad a job so far have they. Lets be little old Donny and not someones play thing
Every Rich millionaire / Billionaire uses their assets to buy their way to what they want.
There's a saying we all know "Money Talks". If someone is offered obscene amounts of money to make something happen it usually does. That's the way they do it. That's why the countries ruined
Football clubs are becoming rich mens playthings. Gone are the days when it was a working mans domain.
I'm afraid we will have to roll with it.
I personally long for the cameraderie we had with players, you could sit and chat with Big Brendan, Fred Robinson, Ian Miller, Dave Wignall on an afternoon in the Kings Head. Or have a scrap with duggy in Park Lane cos he was chatting ar lass up.
They're not part of our community any more.
The days have gone boys and girls it's moved on and I for one am getting sick of it.
Dodgy Dennis never came accross as being big into Sport - He is a billionaire and I don't see Rovers being high on his agenda - He certainly is not an Abramovitch
I am H A P P Y, H A P P Y.
You were right Hound Bramall seems to have thrown the Tyrant out with a counter bid at this point in time.
The rumour about the GK is right Ross Turnbull signed a 2 year contract. The PUB TEAM is back on course
Tommy has gone, offered a £2m contract. It should have been sealed sooner, all the best Tommy.
Spurr has been a fine player for us and one of my favourites but hey ho, if Blackburn offered him big money then we cant blame him for wanting to go.
Others before him have gone for big money and small clubs like us cant compete, that the way it is.
The club had actually offered Spurr quite a substantial deal but the PL parachute money makes it impossible for us to compete with Blackburns offer (which includes free chicken i am told).
It was Spurr who was holding out, it wasnt for the lack of effort by the club to keep him.
