Where's your keys Perton ?
Cant imagine Burnley paying the salaries to attract this pair
Where are you're key Perton?
They're just being greedy now.
SEBs wages wouldn't be a push, being without a club and injured he starts at zero now..........IF he ever gets fully fit again he could come close to a 20 goal season, but unfortunately i fear we have seen the best of him.
Wonder how far from fitness he actually is?
Will likely have a few options once he proves his fitness so will be down to where he fancies playing and whether he is hungry for a promotion campaign and a battle for a starting place or a shoe in one at a lowly club like donny.
What has happened to Doyle...
In the premiership I thought of him as a good striker so I would have assumed on your relegation to league 1 there would have been a cue of potential suitors. Clearly not much fancied though.
Just not a goalscoring striker SAF......bust his ass, but lost any attacking edge following Micks loan striker orders, found himself dropping back or out wide constantly '''putting a shift in''.
Good player but seldom showed his worth in a front two.
Clever footballer - intelligent runner.
Awful finisher - scuffs and flicks instead of striking through the ball.
From £6.5m to £1.5m in three years. Fit as a fiddle with a good attitude but apart from his 20 goals for Reading 5 years ago has not looked anything like a striker.
Also tends to spend half of each game on his árse, more interested in drawing fouls that never were.
Also, as above, Mick had to play him in a 4-5-1 because we had such a terrible midfield and defence. Fletcher only got a look-in (and saved Mick's job) because Doyle got injured towards the end of our Survival Sunday season.
Clearly being the hard working chase anything in a 4-5-1 played to his strength's and gave easy excuses for his weaknesses. Thanks for the answers and good luck getting back at least to the Championship
We effectively played a 4-6-0 formation in the prem for the most part.
Not entirely Micks fault to be fair, being one of the weaker sides, negativity will quite often creep into a managers thoughts and likely kept us in many games.
It is strange when you think of all the adoration Fletcher got from the fans, when the reality is he barely got a look in and warmed the bench in a hell of a lot of games
Whose fault was it then that Wolves effectively played 4-6-0?
And who was it that kept Fletcher warming the bench in a hell of a lot of games?
Doyle is excellent and was Wolves best player in the Premier League. Doesn't score enough but that is probably more how Wolves have used him. Would score more played in a 4-4-2. Whoever signs him will have a bargain this summer. Far too good for League One
Wolves have never played 4-6-0. Alternated between 4-5-1 and 4-4-2. Fletcher played a part in 61 games in two seasons which is slightly different to rarely getting a look in
16 starts in his first season 12 sub appearances.
26 starts in his second season 6 sub appearances.
Hardly the statistics of a regular?
