I'd rather give Kagawa a go in the number 10 role than buy another one
He's not a number 10. He plays here, there and everywhere.
I think Kagawa, Eriksen and RVP linking up together sounds very nice. That's just me though.
I think he'd get in Kagawa's way. Just my opinion
Top player though
Good player but I suspect we have run the rule over him and decided he is not what we need. Perhaps doubts about adapting to the Premier league, who knows, but whenever I have seen him he looks talented.
I think Lpool did good business in buying Coutinho.
I do agree we need a creative force next to Fellaini if indeed he does come.
What about Viktor Fischer? Anyone know how he got on last season?
Viktor Fischer is better and a winger which we need and if we do sign Eriksen it will greatly annoy me as a better prospect in the same position as eriksen went to Porto this summer for about £6m in Juan Quintero

Personally think Countinho is Liverpool's most important player judging by his talents last season. Suarez will get all the headlines and the goals, but Coutinho is the man that makes everything happen.
As for the article, I don't think we're in for Eriksen personally, but I hope the club has started to do things behind closed doors. Just seems our transfers this season are far to transparent for our liking. Change in Manager and Chairman would do that, but I like the idea of keeping things quiet.
The Anderson and Nani signings were sheer genuine shock. Went to bed that night, I think still on BBC606, heard nothing. Went to my exam the next morning at University and was told by a Liverpool fan, that we made some ridiculous signings. That's how it should be done!
I like Eriksen, have been impressed by what I have seen of him. Would be a very good signing.

Perfect for SAF then.
Mex - Porto are a very clever club when it comes to plucking relative unknowns and making good money from sales.

he wasnt that unknown we were scouting him and he was linked with Inter Milan aswell
Eriksens name has exceeded his ability. If we had a transfer policy based on buying good young talent rather than buying what looks like ready made players with limited abilities like fellaini then a move for him, scherdelin and a young winger for 50 million.
Now most youngsters bought will go to waste am afraid.

i agree, he's good but he hasnt improved in the last 18 months

Porto I believe have made the most profit from their players in the past decade. Where that money actually goes is anyone's guess.
If Rooney left, Eriksen would be a great signing to play as part of the 3 behind RvP. Despite the fact his progess has stalled, he is still a very good player and if we could get him for £15mil he'd be a bargain.
Players of his mould have done well in the PL in recent years: Mata, Silva, Coutinho, Cazorla etc.
i'd rather spend £25-30m on draxler
Mex
If we wanted Draxler we would have tried to sign him before he signed his new contract.

Wages...
They play in a pretty small domestic league which doesn't provide a great income (compared to many of the sides around their level in Europe) so if I remember rightly a lot of those transfer funds get put towards paying wages which I don't think they cover without the transfer surplus.
