We all think he looks good. Must not be an option for us for some reason
You say he has a buyout clause of 40m Euros (£34.4m) and you want to offer £46m?
If we let other possible targets slip all because of Liverpool, I will go nuts
I said offer 46 because I'm don't know if he has a buy out clause juste something I heard. 46M would be the figure to get him straight away.
Offering more than the release clause fee would be sort of pointless.
Especially £12m more....
A quick google search seems to link him to Napoli. Seems they are linked to everyone...
Okay listen up r*tards, I only found out about the release clause after writing the article, but just forget about it as it is not even certain it is just a rumour. If Cavani and Falco and co went for 50M+, then surely this guy would be available for around or just under that sum
Hes only had one season in Portugal
Does look good talented player. Unfortunately most of us here are neither working as scout or working for Arsenal isn't it? AW doesn't buy players which we think they are good and suitable for Arsenal. We should play reverse psychology guess
Let's just get Bendtner back then
Videos not working for me but I remember A goal he scored in the champions league where on the spin he controlled the ball on his knee and then did a back heel volley into the corner. Quality goal. But haven't seen enough of him to pass a judgment
I am pretty sure by now that unfortunately wenger and your board know that suarez will not be signing for Arsenal.
Are you guys not really concerened that this is all just a smoke screen ?
He has already confirmed he won't be leaving this Summer.
The only top target out there is Suarez and Wenger would not dare miss out after dropping Higuain to get him.
Arsenal have already missed out on Suarez, get over it! John Henry has backed himself into such a corner with his comments, that there is no way he could backtrack on them and retain any credibility. The only thing that could change this is if somebody came in with a crazy offer, and we all know that this is something Arsenal will not do.
In my opinion, Arsenal will sign a couple of decent players like Gustavo and someone else - just enough to maintain top 4 possibly, but nothing to upset the top 3 clubs.

It's true, no chairman has ever ruled out selling a player and gone on to sell him in the same window.....
Such things don't happen all the time.....
Blame it on Traore
Didn’t John Henry have the same stance with Torres and categorically denied he would be sold?
"This doesn't concern a fan of a mid table club "
It does when it's our fũcking player you rētard
Yeah. But I suppose Liverpool will argue Chelsea made an offer they couldn't refuse and met the valuation. If we bid 50-55m for Suarez they'd most likely sell.
"Didn’t John Henry have the same stance with Torres and categorically denied he would be sold?"
3 days before selling him he said he wasn't for sale.
They also posted a statement to their website saying "the player is not for sale".

Exactly, so the "we won't sell" stance is just nonsense rhetoric like with every other club.
Doesn't mean we'll sign him back hanging your hat as a Liverpool fan on a chairmans/owners statement is naive at best.

they have also recently stated that they learned from that lesson, and don't plan to repeat the same mistake.
My assumption is that they would only deviate from this stance if they received an offer they couldnt refuse, and Arsenal don't make those kind of offers.
And for the poster who asked what concern is it of a mid table club, well the player belongs to the club who you mistakenly label a mid table club. Even if that were the case if wouldnt matter - are arsenal fans never allowed to post discussions about trophies in say, the last 8 years?

So their "we won't sell" Saurez stance is just as hollow as the Torres "we won't sell" then?
Tell me something I don't know.
Liverpool came out strongly today and said...
"We won't sell unless we sell"
Blame it on Traore
I take your point but feel that despite what is stated publically the transfer will boil down to Arsenal’s desire (or not) to raise their offer.
