It's not that they think they're smarter than the system, it's that they know that only a terrible start to the system till prompt Wenger to pull his finger out.
I hope we get relegated and go into administration and get closed down.....that will teach Wenger and the Board.....
Great post.
I find it strange that, seemingly, a lot of people on this site would disagree.
and for all the people celebrating the loss and claiming it had nothing to do with the ref why has he been dropped from this weeks premier league fixtures?
I have seen people say they hope we lose the CL qualifier. As if that will help us attract players
They also claim that it will mean less games
Do not wonder about some people.
Wenger's wife.
We wouldn't have won that game even with a fully competent ref. We may have got a draw at the very most.
D'Jeezus
That's the thing, they think they're so clever, but what's the point of even existing as a club if you think cup games tire us out and would rather just pay 100% attention to the league? That's what relegation candidates do FFS.
Part of the reason that we're in the state that we're in is that die hard Wenger fans have been happy with mediocrity for so many years, only have they woken up and smelt the coffee this summer.
Hothead
I guarantee certain people on here, if we beat Fenerbache, will post "FFS NOW WE WANT SIGN ANYONE WHY DIDNT WE LOSE" like the morons they are.
Thanks for the positive feedback
Sometimes loosing is necessary as it gives reality check. I do think Arsenal as a club need reality check.
NB - I am not saying we should loose.

I disagree, we were the better side overall even with ten men. We were never given a chance to attack Villa without them having 10 men behind the ball because the ref pulled it back for a freekick and completely ignored any form of advantage we had.
Never want my team to lose was going mad on saturday, but definitely relieved the inevitable yearly upset came when it did because I truly believe a loss would have inspired Wenger to truly believe in this shambles of a side.
Again never want Arsenal to lose but I believe in disguised blessings and I certainly hope the weekend loss was one, if you look to take positives
AWW
In pure denial you are unbelievable we looked a mess everytime we didn't have possession never going to pick up the 3 points, midfield especially looking fragile!
get a grip man. i don't think we really want Arsenal to lose but part of us knows that it will spark the club into some action to improve the current squad and situation. if what i'm reading is true, it seems like the loss to Villa has certainly done that.

Agreed. There's a difference between wanting your team to lose, and acknowledging the fact that a loss is what it will take for things to improve in the long run.
Booing the players who play for our club is disgusting, and anyone who's done that is a disgrace to the club and a pathetic football fan, if they players are not up to the challenge the criticism should be directed at Wenger/board for buying them in the first place.
However i can understand the mindset of those who want us out of the CL, solely to hurt the board (who have never won a single title with Arsenal) where it hurts.
They are amateurs & reactionary, we've seen it all before, and again we've seen it today (Cabaye bid). Just think what they'll do if the unimaginable happens,`no CL football. Hopefully Kroenke sells up and we get Dein, Usmanov back in.
Wanting us to miss out on qualifying for the CL is foolish as it would hurt our revenue as well as our ability to attract players but knowing that a poor start to the season (Villa) WILL mean a higher points total at the end of it is the sad truth.
You're a deluded clown if you don't think an 8-2 battering saved us a few seasons back. That is how reactionary our club has become, they can't see the obvious weaknesses until they hit breaking point.
We would have signed players even with a win against Villa but we will sign more now that we've lost. You're an awful fan if you don't want something for the greater good of Arsenal.
The players deserve booing every now and again I've they don't perform, and they didn't on Saturday.
Blame the summer holidays, the litte kids have nothing to do.
