I think the pressure got to him. Lets not forget, he's a young lad with loads of talent but to throw him straight into a Super Cup Final against Munich and expect to see an absolute World Class display come out of it, it's tough going for the kid.

As for WBA and Everton there isn't as much pressure as there isn't such a big margin for top quality players/performances, they are a big thing for these clubs when Chelsea expect top quality naturally. Neither are usual contenders for any major trophies come the end of the season either but sometimes challenge EL which I think Lukaku needs right now.

Agree there though Azzy. Nani wanted by PSG for £15M, good money towards a midfielder, Young could go for the same price, towards a midfielder. It's just not really that good negotiation skills.

The other difference is that we gave Lukaku the ball. Chelsea don't even need a striker, just someone popping up in the box (a la Giroud) to put tap ins away.

Lukaku will never fit this system of 24 AMs all bursting into the box, he succeeds where he is the target man, and he creates chances.

His goal at Anfield last season was a prime example. We gave him the ball and he ran at them and scored. He'd never have been allowed to do that at Chelsea, he'd have had to pass it four times before getting to the box.

Got some new ideas for next season when this finishes as I think we've missed a lot out this season.
Lucas' idea of a League Shop was a personal favourite of mine and I think that would make money that extra bit more valuable.
Injuries we also need to use next season along with a more strict squad size system.
