He's a good midfielder who will add some grit to your midfield. Good work-rate, tackles well, vocal, maybe not the best technically but he's still a good midfielder if used right. Also has an excellent shot

pity all the dropouts. Fair enough with the PL due to start but if the recent WC seedings are anything to go by, we need to win as many games as possible to keep a good ranking.

Good to see Trapatonni is willing to take a chance with a promising young player

Kevin Doyle has now pulled out. What kind of team are we going to have tomorrow night???

Given
Kelly, Dunne, St Ledger, Ward,
Duff, Gibson, Whelan, Hunt,
Long, Keane

Still a good side despite the withdrawals.

Looking at the side above it just proves that we at last have a good overall squad of players to choose from.
For example i would have as much confidence in Longs ability as i would have of Doyles.
Stephen Ward and Gibson are also well capable of stepping in and making a good impression.

Is that the team CP or is that your effort with players available?
Either way I feel good with this squad and looking forward to McCarthy coming into his prime and being a lockdown for a central midfield spot for years to come.

That's the team H&H.

That'll do. Imagine being able to add Warren Feeney and Josh McQuoid to that team? World beaters!!!!!
Oh I forgot they didn't declare for us yet....

Interestingly all but one of the starting 11 were born outside Ireland (St Ledger).
