What does attacking threat have to do with it? They are an overly physical side no matter where they play, it would have been a culture shock for him. You say we were forced to play him but we had Vermaelen who Wenger often plays left back, and look at our current squad. Who is going to play in Podolski's absence if Ramsey is not fit? Gibbs on the wing??? Signings are desperately needed. Not 1 or 2, we need 5 signings and we need them now.

I'm not too worried about midfield, more the wide areas. Soldado isn't too much of an issue until he gets in the box, the key for us will be that Gibbs and Jenks are on top of things. Their midfield is certainly solid but it's about as creative as a pebble.

Seriously? Some else on here was right a few days ago when they said that, transfer fee wise, Hulk is one of the most overrated players of recent years. He has a monster physique, and cannon of a left foot and a funny name, and that's about it.

Soldado is more like Podolski. He can be anonymous but he uses the ball well when he gets it. Giroud's touch is just really poor and he can be sooo clumsy.
