Cardiff 0 - 3 West Ham

Reus
West Ham started the match well and continued to play well from start to finish. Cardiff simply didn’t turn up today. The first goal came from a ball from Pirlo picking out Aubameyang down the left who then whipped in a cross for Reus to head home at the far stick. Pirlo was then the architect for the second goal when he went past De Rossi and stuck a through ball behind Puyol for Di Natale to finesse the ball into the opposite bottom corner. Di Natale timed his run perfectly and was gone before Puyol could chase. Marco Reus then completed a miserable day in Cardiff by smacking in a shot from 25 yards into the top corner.
Southampton 1 - 1 Stoke
Ibrahimovic
Lambert
Shock result of the weekend. The away team clearly left their shooting boots at Stoke. Early chance for Stoke Navas runs down the right and crosses for Ibrahimovic only for him to head straight into the keeper’s grateful hands. Stoke then missed numerous other chances with Yaya Toure Mkhi and Ibrahimovic all guilty. They did eventually take the lead when Ribery beat his man down the left and floated a cross into the box for Ibrahimovic to karate kick the ball into the net. Southampton did threaten at times with their numerous attacking players but Tim Howard was in good form. However, Khedira had a crazy moment deep into injury time when he rugby tackled Osvaldo when the latter tried to go past him some 25 yards from centre from goal. Lambert stepped up and promptly curled a beauty into the top corner. Unstoppable. kamran will be wondering how his side managed to throw that away.
Swansea 3 - 2 Fulham

Some war of words between the two managers last week meant that both managers went into this game wanting to get one over the other. Fulham, still full of confidence from their win against Southampton last week, started the game off well by taking the lead through Ilkay Gundogan. Kagawa picked up the ball on the left, ran towards the box and squared it for Gundogan on the edge of the box from him to guide the ball into the bottom corner from 20 yards out. Fulham then doubled their lead when a long ball forward was taken down by Isco at the edge of the box, pushed away Pogba and fired home off the near post. Rave then sent his team out a few minutes early after half time and a look on their faces showed that Rave clearly gave them a wind tunnel treatment. Fulham gave away a controversial penalty soon after half time when Zouma showed his inexperience by hacking down Coutinho in the box. However, replays showed that Zouma did get a bit of the ball. It didn’t matter as Vidal rolled the ball into the net to the keeper’s left, who dived the other way. Fulham then gave away another penalty when Koke’s cross was handled by Verratti. Vidal stepped up again to slam the ball down the middle to equalise. Swansea then got the winner late in the game when a Koke corner was headed in by Higuain at the near post who lost his man during the tussle. Very harsh result on Fulham.
Aston Villa 0 - 1 West Brom
Lampard
A very tactical game which produced very few chances as both teams cancelled each other out. Villa had some joy down the sides as they had full backs that bombed forwards. Even though Ozil was instructed to help pin back the full back he only did a half-hearted job due to his natural tendency to drift infield to get more involved. West Brom did eventually break the deadlock half way through the second half when Illaramendi gave away a soft foul some 30 yards from goal. Lampard stepped up to hammer the free kick into the corner despite Given getting a hand on it. Given will know he has to do better than that. Villa had a late chance to equalise when Markovic went past a couple of lazy challenges but managed to stick his effort just wide of the post.

Fulham 3 - 1 Southampton
Gundogan (pen)
Chicharito
Gundogan
Ramos
Southampton have come to Craven Cottage with a lot of young talent in midfield. Southampton started the game well with their attacking approach creating the first chance of the game with Eriksen sliding a through ball behind Montoya for Tello to cross low into the box only for Osvaldo to sky it from five yards out. Kos then lumped the ball forwards for Lambert to knock down to Eriksen, who promptly slid the ball into the path of the onrushing Alba, played a one-two with Tello to beat Montoya and crossed only for Fischer to head wide at the far post. Their reward for their early dominance was awarded when Zouma brought down Osvaldo outside the box some forty yards from goal. Eriksen curled in the resulting free kick for Ramos to thump home after losing Vidic in the box. Ohhhhh Vidic would be getting it in the dressing room at half time. Fulham finally woke up after conceding and started to dominate the midfield. Gundogan who for once escaped the attentions of Wanyama clipped a ball over the top of Kos and VDW on the edge of the box for the onrushing Kagawa. Kos knowing that he just got caught out rushed back into the box and barged into Kagawa flooring him the process giving away a penalty. Gundogan dispatched it into the side netting to the right of Krul, who had no chance even though he dived the right way. Gundogan then slides a through ball in behind Ramos for Chicharito to slam home high into the net at the near post. Kos couldn’t get across fast enough. The comeback is complete! Southampton had a late chance to equalise when Zouma was caught napping when Osvaldo set Lambert through on goal which took a last ditch tackle by Vidic to prevent a certain goal. Eventually Fulham sealed the three points when Alba was caught too far forwards leaving Isco with a free run down the right, Ramos came across to cover which left space for Chicharito to exploit dragging Kos across with him as well. Isco passed the ball to Chicharito who then laid it off to Gundogan on the edge of the box to crash home high into the net.
Right given you all a 6 point head start can play properly now
