A couple of years ago I was watching Alfreton play Carlisle in the FA Cup and my lad got Graham Kavanagh and Paul Thirlwell's autograph's in front of Kenny Burns. Kenny then tried to grab the autograph book to sign it. My lad couldn't believe that this old fat slap head was a footballer.

That's just unbelievable! There is a kind of 'unwritten law' with autographs..I've been lucky enough to have been asked to sign a few in my music career, but the one thing you should never EVER do is pre-empt it or expect it! Apart from the huge embarrassment factor, it's the height of self-importance to just assume anyone would want your autograph. If they ask, it's a privilege, not a right. What a plonker.
