I'm one of Torres' harshest critics but he played really well tonight. Probably our best player. Never said that before
Jose won't be playing any more Spaniards until the next round.
---
No matter how bad an experience he had in Spain, I don't think he's foolish enough to discriminate players on the basis of nationality. He wouldn't have achieved everything he has so far with attitudes like that.
In saying that though, I have wondered to myself whether he might be suspicious of their commitment, and perhaps not without reason either. I'd imagine that when they're on int'l duty they won't be hearing too many good things said about Mourinho from the Barça and Madrid contingent. As professionals, they shouldn't let the negative perceptions of others influence them, but being pros doesn't make them immune to other people's opinions. Torres' could be a slightly different case, as he'll be fully aware of the fact that Jose might well be his last hope to ressucitate a flailing career.
Torres has impressed me more than Mata this season if I'm being honest.
Torres has played more. Mata was unfit and another ridiculous statement
Ba should be sold if Newcastle want him back maybe we can do a deal for Remy.
I think Eto'o has looked OK, without doing much to excite. But he still looks a pale imitation of the player we knew from a few years ago. Just like Torres really.

I think that´s a bit unfair.
Eto´o without scoring has looked fairly. His movement has been good and he still looks very mobile and agile.
It takes time to adapt to the PL especially if you´ve been playing in Russia for a couple of years.
Once Eto´o starts scoring he will continue to score goals I´m sure.
Superb, what you just said about eto is the same for ba. I'm starting to think its an issue with our midfielders rather than our strikers. I could probably count the times on my hand ba has been played through for a one on one since his arrival despite his good movement. Eto won't get wasted hopefully.

Imo he needs the side to play more to his strengths. I don't watch Chelsea all that often, but last weekend you were floating balls far too many balls into the box when his aerial game is definitely not one of his fortes. He's a fantastic one-two footballer and is brilliant at latching onto balls played into his running line. Also, although I'm not really sure how to explain this in English nor how much of this he might have lost nowadays, his "start motion" used to be lighting fast, meaning he'd only need a couple of yards to leave a defender behind and make room for a shot.
I think you'll only really start to make the most out of him once you start to exploit these skills properly.
