What do you mean "become"?
Isn't it funny how I can get them all talking about the OS?

Dramatic,
I have suggested many a time that we should park this debate until 2016-2017, but it seems to be all myhammers wants to (or can) talk about.
The way myhammers posts is as if West Ham are currently playing in a fully converted Olympic "Football" Stadium, and Spurs' building project has been scrapped half way through.
As far as i can tell, if the future goes as is planned, then West Ham will be playing in the OS and Spurs in a new stadium around the same time. Although, myhammers wants to use his time machine for West Ham and be in 2016, whilst leaving Spurs in 2013.
We either discuss the current stadiums or the future ones. You cannot talk about one club in 2016 and the other in 2013.

Because that's all you've got myhammers
Thudd: Quality, not quantity.
I can fully understand why the likes of Chicken get so irate and worked up when I mention the OS. He would rather not talk about it at all.

Spot the contradiction:
"Isn't it funny how I can get them all talking about the OS?"
And:
"the likes of Chicken get so irate and worked up when I mention the OS. He would rather not talk about it at all".
Chicken: You would rather not talk about the OS, but I get you talking about it.
Not difficult to understand.

Better to rent a penthouse than own a council flat.

Its also better to own and be the sole occupant of a penthouse than rent and share a penthouse.
I wouldn't compare WHL to a penthouse. More a council flat.

But will the rent be less than the mortgage payments?

Seriously though, you say you'd prefer owning even if it were not financially advantageous, why?

For a club like Tottenham to build a new stadium costing in excess of £450m, you'll probably not be able to buy another player for at least 20 years. It would be financial suicide.
Look at the financial restraints Arsenal faced after building the Emirates. And they're a much bigger and richer club.
Sorry, but the finances don't add up. The only way Tottenham could have a 54k stadium is if they got the OS. That's why Daniel Levy did everything he could to get it.
