Read the guardian article from Gary linekar on motd today. Explains your article.
Oh, found it. Reading now.
Shearer, Owen and Savage someone need to shoot them. Awful.
I don't mind Shearer, Owen and Savage can do one
Get people like Roy Keane on there who will be honest and slate someone
Just read it 50p. Doesn't really "explain" any criticism from my article?
MOTD have tried to keep with their traditional formula in the hope of success, but modern football has changed. I'm not even sure if it's even popular anymore.
In the old days, the only way to watch the highlights of a game was to tune into MOTD. Nowadays you have streams, Sky showing extensive highlights and YouTube.
But the thing that has really killed off MOTD is the standard of punditry and analysis. It's just the same script of one-liners, cliches, and bland analysis. The pundits are no longer insightful and interesting. It's been replaced by bland analysis and a complete disengagement of reality.
In other words, MOTD has become an irrelevance.

"Michael Owen is horrible to listen to. Its is actually painful listening to him"
This is literally true, and I do mean literally.
I have to mute it or turn it over when he's on, no joke.
Chris
Some players havent got the voice for punditry or the personality for it. It's just wrong BT sport and BBC keep shoving him out there.

I'd rather listen to Chris talk about Arsenal, no joke!
I would
I'd make a cracking pundit, would be a proper little WUM in the mould of my WUM heroes Thudd and Mr C.
I'm not even a WUM you crackhead

I'd love to have an option on Sky Sports where you had honest commentary during the games
